How much slack does PEH get for being young and coming from Bayern? Ropes running out in my opinion...
Got a small wedge on Arsenal win and Arsenal -1 after the lineups to cheer me up when the inevitable happened
Gardos isn't a youngster, neither is Martina. Even Isgrove is 24! So not exactly young. I get players getting a chance, but there are too many changes.
Hmm.... young and inexperienced then...? This is the reality of where we are... academy players with inexperience and bit part players....
Only thing I'm annoyed about is that match thread streak was kinda ruined by a game we obviously don't care about. Oh well, got the final thread
I disagree Beef. We have injuries all over the squad, and an important game on Tuesday. Yes, I would like to have seen a stronger side, but I understand why Puel has done this.
I think young players benefit more when you play one or two in among your best players. Chucking 6 in at once with the likes of Gardos and Martina isn't going to help them so much.
I'm not slagging Puel off, just stating a fact. Mixing average players and one or two youth against this Arsenal team can't cut it sadly.
agree - it wasn't likely we'd win both cups! gives Claude a good look at his last 11 in a competitive match. (think they may stay his last 11 mind you)
100% exactly right. I hope Puel is clear post match that tonight was not about giving young players a chance, it was far more about resting first team players
