Are we expecting a flurry of players from the north west ringing Saints up for the chance to win trophies?
So Boufal and Isgrove are the notable appearances, dunno if Boufal is still just being kept involved or if Morocco have actually let him play. Lewis shown but not Foster. Bertie but not McQueen. Always such an interesting tease.
My guess at the line-up: Lewis, Martina, McQueen, Yoshida, Gardos, Hojbjerg, Clasie, Reed, Tadic, Long, Redmond.
Can't say I blame his international side...if this rule wasn't enforced, a lot of players would be under pressure from clubs to stay at home.
He returned from the training camp injured and I think it is down to Morocco's FA to allow him to play whilst Morocco are still in the tournament. This is to stop managers at club's like ManUre, Chelsea and Citeh from pulling out players from international squads because of 'injury' and then playing them a week later.....I think. I might be making it up though.
I'm sure you're right, but it is stupid. If players don't want to go that should be their choice. Anyway it's not his fault they broke him.
My point is that every player has the right to play for his country and pressure would be brought by clubs to not go to other side of the world. If you buy a player from overseas, you have to live with it.
If players decide not to play for their country in a specific match or tournament, that's fine, but they shouldn't ever get picked again.
