24,000 season ticket holders approx. I'd say that 10% roughly won't buy tickets for various reasons. You also have half term finishing in a majority of schools that weekend, so families getting back from short breaks etc. This will free upto 9-10,000 tickets for members. I reckon most members with 3-4 games will get a ticket?

Got a huge dilemma. My dad has only been to 6 home games and wants me to wait buying my final ticket so he can get his at the same time. I really don't want to risk it but I also don't want to end up in the situation of me going to the final and he's unable to because it sold out. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. :(
I'm a dad and I would understand. Get yours first then let him get his. You may go alone, you may go with him but sit separate from him.

...he may want a nice birthday/xmas pressie though (I would :) )

See my reply to jaidi. Depends how many 'new' members there are.
That is a good point actually.
Although most people that have been to 7+ home games would either be season ticket holders or members anyway I'd have thought.

Chap at the ticket office said they expect sales to reach the final day as well as mentioning they expect some new memberships which is why they mentioned it in the original release, so hopefully they've take that into account!

Extremely limited. I would say gone by this evening. So buy now if you want to go.

Oh okay, just need to wait for money to hit my bank then... fingers crossed!

Cheers mate <cheers>

Is it really that many STH's? That only leaves around 5k for members/general sale each game.

Thought it was closer to 21k. Also think 10% is optimistic as most that don't go will still buy for friends/family etc.

Right told my dad I'm going to buy my ticket ASAP. I am not missing this final.

Gotta be done mate, I'm sure he understands <ok>

What category you going to go for? (Though us members may be limited)

Just looking on the ticket sites, about £300 per ticket,do I line these guys pockets to give my eight year a day to remember - Quandary!

Think it was around 22-23 thousand before season started, but you'll also have the fans who recently bought the half season ticket?

I paid £705 in 2003. Told the wife that it had then been 27 years since our last FA Cup final so it worked out at £26/year. Her genuine response (she's more of a smart arse than me, honest) was, "Well it'll be another 27 years til you get there again, so that's £13.50/year - you better get that ticket." Top girl :)

She was half way right!

How many new members who meet the criteria for games attended, that is. Won't be that many, because anyone who has attended 6 home games this season is likely to already be a member.

I got a ticket for Cardiff as a member, probably went to about 6-8 games a season tops in those days. You'll be okay imo <ok>

Not sure mate, a lot of people didn't bother with membership I don't think. Can see why now, no benefit whatsover to buying it pre season.

I'm not confident with my 6 at all. Guess I'll have to wait and see :(

So I've been offered a ticket... 2 issues:

- It's the best part of 300 quid.

- It's United end.

Will probably hold out and risk it <yikes>
