Oh I´m afraid it is you know. Having a vote, is having a say, and having a say, is voicíng an opinion, and no-one should be given a label, because of either, what they say, or how they say it. This article in a nutshell, and I totally agree with it.
Mr Moxey won't even do interviews with local press , you have no vote you have no say, our club is owned as a private business and they don't listen to what the fans want let alone let their customers vote on matters that concern the future direction.
Yes, I can see why some people are now renewing their season tickets and with good justification. Of course I'll miss my trips to CR for most of our home games, but I'll still be able to go to some games with my 'priority membership' and one or two that I know have said that they occasionally have a spare ticket in their group
Fascinated to know your thinking behind this statement? All that's different since you decided to not renew yours is that we've sold a PL calibre LB - and made no inroads so far in finding a replacement - and the clock's still ticking
Apparently writing dull twee poetry on the Internet from Scandinavia is "having a vote" in the running and future of our Club? I doubt very much that Delia or Jez read anything on Not606, even the poetry contributions.
I'm still NOT renewing, but as others have said. they've supported NCFC for many years through our times in league 1 etc and will continue to do so - their choice and hope they don't regret it if the football net season is as dire as it has been both last season and this
Nope, and that´s entirely their prerogative and why on earth should they do anything different, anyway? Fans think they know more than most football boards, but in reality, give them free rein, and they´d be just as likely to cock it up. Writing dull, twee poetry is still better than writing tripe, and in fact is more likely to sway the board, too.
You just confirmed that "the board" will and can do whatever they want because the idiots that buy the merchandise and tickets are idiots. Yet you believe "the board " will be swayed by your poems ?.
Morning Donuts, of course the board will do whatever they want, and so they should. At the majority of clubs across the country the boards don´t take a blind bit of notice of what the fans want, our club is actually the exception rather than the rule where that is concerned. I actually wish our board had stood their ground, as they´re doing now, when Hughton was here, we may not have been in this mess then. And for your information, I did send Delia and the board a piece ( neither dull nor twee) shortly before Christmas, where I applauded them for showing loyalty towards Neil, while under extreme pressure from the fans to do otherwise. I also suggested they should keep him, at least until the end of this season. And of course I didn´t expect her to take any notice of what I suggested, and I´m sure she hasn´t, but it´s still interesting to note, the course she and the board have decided to take. If you don´t think poems will work, you could always try sending her some tripe, I´d be interested to see the result.
Someone who harps on about everyone having the right to have an opinion equally, but dismissing others valid concerns as tripe, whilst maintaining a misplaced air of moral and intellectual superiority.
Tripe= Something of no value /rubbish. Rather hypocritical after aligning himself with an article that encourages Norwich fans to not look at opposing views as right or wrong black/white. In conclusion we are free to express our opinions as long as we accept that our opinions are wrong and his are right.
In the interests of fairness, there are also times when he doesn't And, pots and kettles, and all that - we're none of us 100% squeaky clean in that regard. In my opinion, which nobody has asked for, twee poetry belongs firmly in the 'tripe' folder anyway, so surely there's a massive grey area here? Ain't all black or white.
You really do not read what is written, do you? There is nowhere on this thread or anywhere else where I categorically accuse you of wríting tripe. You intimated (very strongly in fact) that my poetry is dull and twee, I, in return, said that poetry was far more likely to get a response from someone, than tripe. What inference you take from that, is up to you. Nor have I ever dismissed others concerns as being tripe either, I may have told them I think they´re wrong, but that´s hardly a crime is it, I just don´t share many of the same concerns as many of you do. In fact I could throw the very same criticism you´re accusing me of, back at you and others on this board, that I´m allowed to express my opinions,( they´re not right of course, but I´m allowed to express them) as long as they fit in with everyone elses, otherwise I´m just an intellectual moron with no ambition. That´s why I found this article refreshing and why I agree with the sentiment, it´s about time we stopped labelling each other.
I suppose at the end of the day, you can't help being a Philistine! One man's art is another man's rubbish!
You implied that if I chose to write a letter to Delia it's contents would be tripe. I have written some poetry which everyone enjoyed , you could always write some tripe, I would be interested to see the results.
