He's been getting some rather, er... mixed reviews, from what I've seen.
Have they decided to limit the damage by giving him nobody to train or something?
Lots of loans and everyone else training with the first team.

So the good news is that Ousmane Dembele has been seen wearing a Spurs kit...

Leonardo Ulloa tweeted his farewells to Leicester fans this morning. Once again, I really wouldn't mind us having a flutter - especially if his £3m price tag is to be believed. But ain't going to happen. I wonder where he's going?

Another striker that I rate along with Shane Long who never get the recognition they deserve

Not that it'd happen (got my Football Manager head on for this one) but I'd love for us to do a move where we could perhaps trade Janssen for Watford's Ighalo.

Harsh on Janssen as he's only been here for half a season but I really liked watching Ighalo last year. Mazzarri seems to have broken up the impressive Deeney-Ighalo partnership and things haven't clicked for him this season but I think he could do well here. Has good feet and has shown to be a very decent finisher.

Ulloa isn't a bad player but I feel he's too similar to Janssen, a sort of hustle and bustle CF who probably wouldn't suit our style.

Been saying it for about 2 years now but I stand by the fact someone like Shane Long would be a great fit.

Reports in the Dutch press say Youri Tielemans is likely to leave Anderlecht this summer.

Poch has said today that the chance of an incoming player has now reduced from 1% to 0.1%, with summer transfers much more likely.

I understand how difficult it is to get the right player in, but I really hope this doesn't come back to bite us in the arse. Extremely worrying if Kane gets injured. We're playing a very dangerous game again.

It has been a pretty quiet window truth be told. Bottom half clubs have been staggering around like drunks on thr vegas strip from opportunity to opportunity, hoping to salvage their seasons. Top half clubs have mainly used the time to get rid of deadwood for inflated profits.

The January window has been out of fashion for years now. It is telling that the beeb ran an article today about picking your best Jan signings, and the most recent one was Matic back in 2014. I think that sounds about right...hasn't been an outstanding signing done in Jan for about 3 years now.

No? Think back to 2nd February 2015.

Two words. One of them is Dele. The other is Alli.

You're right, but in terms of outright signings. I doubt MK Dons would've agreed to the deal if we hadn't made it what was essentially a summer transfer. Same reason Fulham pulled out of the Pitt the Younger deal last year.

So I guess that leaves us with Lewis Holtby <whistle>

To be fair though, we haven't really made any. Dele Alli and Shilow Tracey in the last three seasons.
Both were intended to be for the future.
Levy probably thinks that it's poor value, so he doesn't use it. That's quite true, too.

The Saha and Nelsen transfers were relatively successful albeit underwhelming signings in a season where with more ambition and less England job we really could've pushed for the title.

But you're 100% correct and I feel that the article I mentioned supports this: there hasn't been an outstanding January signing by any club in probably 3 seasons.

Good news: Franck Kessie has rejected a move to Chelsea
    Bad news: ...to join Roma
Ambivalent news: Rumours suggest we're after Roma DoF Walter Sabatini to fill the Paul Mitchell-shaped hole in our structure, so technically we could do the dirtiest of dirtys on that...

Soton agree a £14m fee with Napoli for striker Gabbiandini. Don't know a thing about him other than his surname is a bloody mouthful. They've ostensibly signed him due to Austin's lengthy injury, but with Rodriguez back in action, that surely pushes Shane Long further off the radar? Cheeky deadline day bid?

    The BBC link this http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/760878/Jay-Rodriguez-transfer-latest-West-Brom-launch-move

Someone else thinking similar! I have a feeling that Poch would prefer Rodriguez to Long

This also interested me - The BBC 'gossip' also has links to a story that Yannick Carrasco has fallen out with Simeone at Athletico, if only we knew a Belgian who could have a word in his ear!

    ****.

Well it may not be team selection predictions but I'm actually agreeing with you on this, CK. Should we be worried for an impending doomsday now? <laugh>
