and burnley and utd... all the smaller team in fact however sadly their manager is a cretin. paul lambert cos he stayed at villa self flagellating himself for far too long.
So another game against a team who will play 10 at the back and 1 up front. We will have 80% possession and won't be able to score from 20+ chances. They will have one chance due to our crap defence and put it away. Luckily I don't care as it was bonus day today and I am celebrating with a good heavy red wine - Ravens Wood Old Vine Zinfandel 2014
Funnily enough were talking about this yesterday. It's better to get your bad spell out the way mid season, leaves plenty of time to make up gap. The title / top 4 is won in last 10 games and if you pick up 25+ points in those last 10 you'll be in with a shout. Obviously need to have stayed in and around top 4 during that bad run. Look at City, gone through shocking spell, but they won their first 7/8 games wasn't it? If they go back to that form then they'll be in the mix for the title despite most having written them off.
Interesting, I avoid American wines for the same reason I avoid the Aussie and SA reds, they are too powerful and dark, too much fruit and very uncomplicated. I might give that a go sometime, or am I right? Zinfandels origins are traced back to Croatia which I thought made sense as some remind me of Italian wines.
This is why I think that if we're still in the pack by the time Mane comes back, then we'll have s great chance.
Chelsea lose to us and Arsenal were 4 points behind them (assuming we win the game after Chelsea). When the big teams plays each other there's always room for a 6 point swing
Chelsea have this won. we know this but just can't face it. break free of the denial you'll feel better just like admitting we are just not that good. once you break free of the denial and stop crying over spilt milk then we can get about mopping it up and improving.
just do your very best in every game and don't whine about it if you are not good enough yet. growth mindset. = not good enough yet fixed mindset = not good enough. I just want to see reaction out of players. those who are not on their knees run out and shattered are not for us.
Nope - I'm a realist. Winning the league this year was always going to be difficult. I want us to be set up for the long run. CL qualification this season, attract better players, bigger squad and then win trophies.
