Bit academic that above post, now, in view of this morning’s news.

Paddy Power taking absolutely no chances re a possible Altior re-route following Annie’s defection – just 2/1 offered about Mr Henderson’s charge winning the ‘Champion Hurdle’ (NRNB)!

I guess other possible re-routes following the mares withdrawal could be Bueveur D’air, Jetzki, Moon Racer, Nichols Canyon, Vroum Vroum Mag and Yorkhill. Some serious points to ponder for some connections in several cases.

Had me a cheeky double on Yorkhill (Arkle) and Min (JLT) on the off chance of a late re-route. At 230/1 I thought why not?

The big talking point today at Gowran is the Mall Dini plot job for the Ultima Hcapp chase on the first day.Could also run in Kim Muir but I'll be very interested to see what mark he is given. The Job is on I'm told by those in the know!

The British handicap mark will be very interesting.

Does this make it a very bad plot the fact the world and his wife are talking about it?!

Well having won a festival handicap Hurdle he will very much be on the radar but I suspect he's a graded level chaser in the making (not quite top class) looking to get into a handicap? Certainly one to keep an eye on.

Totally agree and did the same thing myself as cover. I also lumped on Yorkhill for the CH NRNB at 8-1 on the basis he would only run if Annie and Faugheen didn't and if he did if yanworth is 4-1 he would be odds on!

My big hope for the Fred Winter and was very smug having backed him at 20/1 for it - MEGA FORTUNE was given a bloody mark of 146 only a few pounds lower than when Ivanovich Gorbatov won the Triumph last year! That bet can go in the bin now :(

Probably the Elliot horse in a big Handicap Factor- he's only rated 130 over in Ireland too!!

Saw that Wooly and tough luck.... given his form with Baupame and Land of hope and glory the mark of 130 is insane..... 146 probabaly a bit harsh tho and would give him no chance. Could be a lively outsider for the triumph as has done his best work at the line so far....

Wouldn't surprise me if we see some first time head gear on him at the festival either! That was what I was so confident about - oh well as you could be a outsider for the Triumph at a big price (don't know what price at the mo) and could see him placed of he does continue to improve

Min has a slight knock on the knee and misses Irish Arkle. Not great news if you're a Min backer, hopefully he makes a swift recovery and gets to Chelts in one piece.

There's the excuse to switch him to JLT and take race-fit Yorkhill to the Arkle

I just think they seem to fancy Yorkhill over 2m and they have already scalped Yanworth- they might decide to have a pop at Altior because they have said if chasing doesn't work out then he will go back hurdling, so they kind of have hinge covered if he was to be well beaten by Altior (I think he'd run him close personally).

Very convinced by what I've seen at Leopardstown today so:

Win double Melon (Supreme) 5/1 and Petit Mouchoir (Champion Hurdle) 4/1

29/1 the double that will do for me <ok>

You don't mind losing that Willie Mullins to have no Festival winners bet as early as the first race then I see, all credit to ya <whistle>;)
