Don't get your drift at all really. As I said about Sam, can't hold him leaving against him, moreso the FA fault. As for Gordon, he had many injuries, but in spells he was quite possibly the best keeper in a SAFC shirt I've seen at the SOL, in terms of goalkeeping ability. If I remember correctly, we released him due to his injuries and he pretty much retired and was coaching at one point. Going to have to beg to differ on this one matey.
In Gordon's case, his knee problems that everybody, including him, cleared up with time and rest and he is doing OK now. He must be mid-thirties now so might be around for another five years at the top.
Is that not tainted because of his injuries. As a whole, I'd imagine quite a few were probably disappointed, purely because of the hefty outlay at the time and the fact he was injury prone. I was more talking about his raw goalkeeping talent though, which is possibly where we have differing views?
Big Sam will get players in for Palace and that worries me, I reckon it will be between us Hull, and Watford and Boro who go down, Swansea will pull away and to be honest had Palace been better at home we would have been just about down by now, but we have a lot of players coming back. I said before that Bardsley , Fletcher and Gardner should not have been sold and that is just 3 who got away, it has been a disgrace what has gone on at this club over the last 4 years.
Its a realistic prediction. But if by some miracle we are not, I will begin to think we are going to survive against all odds. Nil Desperandum[/QUOTE] A bit negative there if passionate fans can't be positive for the team no one else will be - KTF (even if it's blind )
