Hope he wins his case WITH Costs. I hope though that BEFORE this claim gets to a hearing the wife of Lee Rigby sues this gentleman for all he's worth. She can then apply for a freezing of his assets, (or whatever the legal term is), and in the course of time the money will come to her. IF this was possible it would be the first time anything about this horrible event could cheer me up. Fellow prisoners would know that attacking him could only benefit the widow.
The counter claim sounds OK in theory, but why should Lee's family be subject to more violence, for that is what such stress amounts too, surely the law needs to protect the innocent here, with every means available . Our legal system is flawed, but is still one of the best in the world, and we all should be thankful for it, and I say this having fallen foul of it myself from time to time.
You have a point but I would expect that the thought of his making a profit out of being jailed for his crime, might upset the family even more. Finding a way to take it off the smart beggar, just MIGHT help them feel a touch better.
Just a point of interest the tw@t who appealed against his sentence for harassing the Rigby family and claiming the attack was staged has lost his appeal. Further point is he was a 54YO strapping builder from Chelmsford and white, but the sentence was only six months suspended. What gets into these people?
I wish I was there there I would have grabbed a branch or anything to help the poor man and done them ****ers on the spot and would like to kick the rest of his teeth in.
