Silva looked at his team, he gave kids a chance, he rested some who might now feel threatened, he will be hugely satisfied with that performance. But he will have seen things to work on:

Maguire, know how to release the ball in attack.
Bowen, don't get sucked in.
Attack the ball on crosses and dead pieces.
And he and his coaches will have seen more.

Oh, and the videos, he will dissect the movement of the ManU players and drill it into our lads, all of them, because he is telling them the shirts have to be earned.

I've seen that team a few times under phelan and I can say without a doubt they play way better football under Marco. I honestly think in 2 or 3 games it will click and we will start climbing the league. He's got them playing good football and not just hoffing the ****ing ball up the pitch.

 

Great result for the boys. Hopefully give them some confidence.

Silva's biggest challenge is breaking the Curse of the Missing Goals - I would want all of any incoming focussef on that.
