We're getting to the stage where a draw is two points lost rather than one point gained.

If we had draws the rest of the way we would be on 34 points ....not good . Even an average of 1.5 points a game , which is very good would only put us at 42 points .
We've dug a hole our first 22 games and we can't hope someone else will fill it in for us , we need to win games .On the bright side , 40% of our wins this season have come out of our last 3 games .

We have to win our home games to give us a better chance of staying up and even though a draw is at least a point it is still 2 valuable points dropped and we cant really afford to do that. Everyone at the bottom has the potential to go on a winning run which will shorten the odds of safety and i hope and pray that in the run in we can pick up more points than we have done so far. The Liverpool win gives us a boost and our first chance for a good while to build on so i hope we dont blow it by losing or drawing at home against the saints.....we have to win....

Dai, I do agree we need to win at home, but have to say they didn't half look a good side last night against Liverpool, I just wonder how we are going to break them down. I just hope we give it a go and don't sit back.

Every game we play is a tough game and i think Liverpool again got it wrong and i think Klopp is treading on thin ice to keep his job. The saints are a good side but they have been blowing hot and cold this season and if we are going to survive then it's teams like the saints we must beat at home. There is only a *** paper between everyone outside the top 6 and this is where the manager comes into his own and has to do his homework and get his tactics spot on. i am hoping for a narrow win in front of a passionate crowd and continue our quest to climb the table...

Saints looked an excellent side at Anfield last night & well deserved their win. If we are to succeed next Tuesday we have to come up with the right tactical plan particularly as they do break out of defence very quickly. Patience will be required by the Liberty faithful plus our players will need to be at their best, showing determination & passion as well as follow Clements instructions to the letter which is how we won at Anfield..

No matter who takes the pitch for us for this game , we'll PROBABLY see a very eager , relaxed and confident team . I say this because between of the Liverpool win , the ditching of the American manager that was causing grieve in general and having a " Reasonable " non American manager at the helm soothing the soreness between players , owners and fans will see us all rowing one way ... that's my hope anyways .

We won at Liverpool because they could not finish lets not kid ourselves here....We took advantage of the situation with some fantastic crosses with very little possession and it was the right thing to do when a big team have an off day and cant score for love or money....We should be beating teams at home like the saints if the manager is any good......We will soon find out....

We beat Liverpool because we were better than them. Just like Southampton in the week, just like Wolves today.

Southampton got a right stuffing today which must be damaging for confidence. Good news for us.

Don't think we took advantage of an off day in Liverpool at all Dai, we won simply because we were the better team. We were the better team because we had the better game plan and our players who were under great pressure to to our current plight stood tall and executed the plan with immaculate precision.

Clement out coached Klopp and the players stuck to his game plan which took the game away from Liverpool by nullifying their game plan.

There was no bad day at the office for Liverpool, we made them play as they did. imo.

Whether we can go again on Tuesday and keep going through 17 cup finals to the end of the season remains to be seen but I liked what I saw against Liverpool.

Southampton made ten changes to the team that won at Anfield. So they will not be tired or short on confidence.

Roger East is the ref, so anything could happen.

34 points isn't good, but it could well be enough for survival this season.

Ouch!, this game will be our biggest test of the season so far.

After beating Liverpool away and being the home side we're expected to win. I'd love a win but I won't see a draw as losing 2 points but gaining 1 and an improvement. If it was one of the bottom three it would be a different story, but Southampton will pose a bigger threats than Liverpool imo

The pressure will be on us for sure

Fans expectations will be higher after Liverpool and this will put more pressure on the players so let's hope Southampton don't get an early goal.

Really think we will improve and get better all round, concerned it may be too little too late though! I have had a premonition that we may drop points in this game but we will be alright in the end!

I have looked at the remaining fixtures and have tried not to be too optimistic or pessimistic and provided we can keep the effort and belief in the remaining games that we showed against Liverpool we can achieve 43 points which should be enough

Come on Stereo we were not the better team overall. If they has their scoring boots on then they would have easily have beaten us......We more than most teams should know that the countless times we have had most of the possession an looked the better side and lost because we could not score....
