I'm not sure what Niang would offer us though, really. Not that familiar with him, to be fair.

My biggest fear is Harry Kane gets another long-term injury and Vincent Janssen's game doesn't pick up in time for such a possibility. We have replacements for most positions but not for him. The draws against Leicester, Bournemouth, WBA and Arsenal, where we played the first 3 without him and the last with him 60% fit, may end up costing us the title. We must finish top 4 this season to maintain our progress. I don't want to miss out because we don't have someone to put into the side or bring off the bench and grab a goal.

I'm not sure that I'd be buying him given he's not the prospect he seemed a few years back but he's still only 22 and he's got talent. However, he's had a few injuries and there's a chance to see what you're getting. It's not ideal but we should have bought someone else in the summer. Again.

^^^^ Whenever this man has occasionally led the line we've not been so bad. Took over from Janssen in the Villa match and scored, was also excellent against City at home despite not even scoring and became the main goal threat during Harry's injury earlier in the season. His finishing this campaign has been sublime, by the end of it he can probably have a very good montage of individual goal of the season nominations!

That said, naturally I'd hate to see Harry injured and it'd be a devastating blow.

Though I do stand by what I said the other day, an ageing striker who could come in, help pass knowledge and skills onto Janssen and Kane whilst also being there to play the odd 10 minutes to chase a goal if needed would always be handy. Now if only there were one or two decent candidates to fill that role...

According to one Twitter ITK, Will Miller and Ryan Loft will be allowed to leave the club in the summer.

Only seen Loft play about three or four times for the u23s/ u18s but he looked pretty decent in all of them. Though it can't be easy in his situation, Kane's still young, Janssen is here, Son can play up top and Harrison definitely has a future in my opinion.

Miller I haven't seen much of, though if football doesn't work out for him he can always go back to acting.

I wouldn't mind us looking at Leonardo Ulloa. Out of contract in 18 months and reportedly very unhappy with the way things have gone at Leicester, especially considering the fact that Vardy and Okazaki continue to get the nod ahead of him despite contributing sweet fa this year.

Apparently Leicester received a £1.8m bid from Spanish side Alaves last week which they rejected, prompting rumours that the player was readying to hand in a formal transfer request.

I doubt Leicester would ever sell to us, and I doubt we'd ever go in for him, but wages and fee (using the Alaves bid as a frame of reference) would be easily affordable. Even doubling that bid to £3-4m I think is worth a flutter bringing in a player with over 2 years PL experience who is excellent at holding the ball up top and a menace in the air. Strong, powerful player who just doesn't score enough but useful off the bench if you want to shake things up in the opposition box.

Perhaps the Argentinian connection will count for something?

Failing that, perhaps Lamela could kidnap Edin Dzeko on his way back from Rome? The former Man City player has been on fire this season, hitting 20 goals in 29 appearances.

I could go for that. However, he's unlikely to want more time on the bench? Shame he can be a handful and different to what we've got currently.

True. But maybe he'd be more understanding being the understudy of the best English striker rather than the most over-hyped and over-rated English striker.

We should bid £11m for Snodgrass then loan him back to Hull for the rest of the season, just to piss West Ham off.

Phil Brown has said he's looking to loan in one of our youngsters, but hasn't said who - although the ITKs believe he's referring to Luke Amos.

Van Aanholt looks like he could be on his way to palace. Hull and Sunderland seem to be doing their best to give up their premier league status. <doh>

“I told you from the first day of the month that we are not thinking to sign players. If some special player becomes available who is a very good option, then maybe, but it hasn’t happened yet...Nothing is impossible because a player can arrive at the last moment but I don’t believe we will sign anyone.” - Poch

Spurs have a close relationship with Atlanta, and the club's former executive director Darren Eales left White Hart Lane to join the MLS expansion franchise as president in 2014.

Ah yes, I'd forgotten that he'd gone there. Shame he didn't hire anyone decent to do their kit:

I'm wondering if the reserves'll be playing the same 3421 formation the first team have - although in that case it'd be more enforced due to loaning out all but three of our defenders

I'm wondering who the 1 would be! <laugh>
Can we even put an XI together at that level, without picking a bunch of really, really young players?
