Hello, team. Am somewhat perturbed, and I do mean perturbed, to see that Cosmeapolitan hasn’t taken up either of his entries of the morrow. The old boy remains 33/1 for the ‘Triumph’ but you would have to say time is not on his side re Cheltenham - especially as he currently has no future entries.

Rather like last Saturday forum members once again find themselves in the hands of Mother Nature as both Hunters and Donny are subject to morning inspections. Providing the old girl allows it there will potentially be decent action at both venues.

At Huntingdon Mr Henderson’s KOTKIKOVA really ought to be up to winning the Grade 2 Mares Hurdle (2.30). She was bought, for a colossal sum, to achieve big things and isn’t going to do that if she can’t oblige with ease tomorrow. She is opposed by some mid 140’s rated mares but this one is deemed some way above such a perch. The old girl should then head to the Festival to take up any one of a number of Grade 1 targets. I’m sure I speak for everyone on the forum when I say Mr Henderson can be guaranteed to pick the right one.

Earlier in the campaign I told you they were, how do I put this diplomatically, ummmmm…saving Cocktails At Dawn for another day and the plan was carried off to perfection (get him qualified for the Grand National and achieve a ratings reduction) and I feel something similar is on the cards tomorrow. It’s important for me to say though that whereas I knew with Cocktails At Dawn in tomorrow’s case I’m only guessing. Volnay De Thaix (3.00) goes in the ‘Pertemps Qualifier’ down 8 lbs from his last hurdles run. I would imagine that connections would ideally love him to trail home 5th or 6th, tomorrow, and get a further ratings fall in the process. He’d then be perfectly perched and qualified for the Final at the Festival. That time around you can guarantee he'd be brilliantly primed and very capable of going close. I am in no way advising backing him tomorrow. A watching brief only.

    Good luck all.

Oh Mother Nature you cruel mistress! Taunton, on Saturday, and now Huntingdon today when I recommended wagers. The regular readers will be badly out of pocket. Or should that be they will save a fortune. I think we all know the answer to that one don’t we regular readers. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more…

Just got in to catch the big one at Donny. What a race for 4 runners. Premier Bond winning a thriller and a great ride by all 3 who filled those spots especially David Bass.

Lucky horse that Doalittle. Not often you see one clatter through and come away winning. Glad all are OK.

I too am not in the VIP list but I'd be astounded if the horse wasn't Calarules at Doncaster which ran ok to finish 2nd earlier.

Wow Brio Conti looks a proper chaser in the making. Very impressive under Sean Bowen.
