The lengths some fans will go to to get a ticket... buying part of the club!

Clever PR by the Chinese and the club. Get to Wembley, fans buzzing then quietly break news of new owners. Really hope this is good news? Think this was signed and sealed a while ago, but all parties involved were waiting for the right moment to break the news.

Just a thought. Because our business model is so sound, it could be that they want a stake in a good business but not necessarily control at this stage. To take a controlling stake and then do what some fans want and splash the transfer cash would be strange thing to do bearing in mind how the club runs.

I know they're not compelled to, but you would think that the Club may well be releasing a statement sometime very soon to clarify what "a stake" is...could be 5% or 49% but agree with above, could be a small part now leading to more long term.

The Echo reporting it could be as much as £200m for the stake they've bought. That sounds like they'd be getting a hefty % to me.

The club will probably make an official statement soon. They'll want it sorted in advance of the final you'd think.

Would be a shame to lose KLs influence.... thought she would want to safeguard her dads legacy....

That's what due diligence is for.

She may well stay depending on the size of the stake Lander have purchased. There were rumours early on that Kat would retain 15% of the club. Think that would be sensible.

What are the chances that we can continue with the black box, Les Reed etc., KL still holding a stake which has got us so far, but with the extra injection of money that will allow us to push harder against that glass celining. That's the ideal scenario for me.

True on both counts, I guess in my mind she has been so steadfastly committed to make sure the club remains loyal to her dads wishes and original intent I never saw her selling more than a 49% stake. I guess if her due diligence is done correctly she wont have those concerns....

Could still be 49%? £200m is that if the club is valued at £400m. Doubt it's that high though - I think last estimate was around £290-310m?

I would think about £250m. So I can see Kat having about 20%-15% left.

We'll need them to pay us a ludicrous sponsorship fee to wear something Chinese on our shirts. The ceiling may be glass but it's still deliberately engineered to keep teams like us "down where we belong" via the percentage of turnover we are allowed to spend on wages, whether it's affordable or not.
