Just wondered if I am the only idiot checking the news now and sky transfer page 20 times a day and seeing only ridiculous poor standard names linked. I don't know why I am wasting my time. Surely if we are going to sign anyone decent there needs to be movement on the sale of PVA or Kone today or tomorrow? Scary to see Boro, Palace and Hull bidding for good players. I certainly believe a Snodgrass to palace or Boro will be enough to save them.

Snodgrass will surely choose West Ham.

Watford have got Zarate and apparently a deal has been agreed with Niang from AC Milan.

Palace will probably bring in 4 or 5 before the window shuts I reckon.

Swansea need probably 2 more to give them a decent chance.

Yeh I think we are all constantly looking
And will continue till the window closes
I'm off on a cruise tomorrow and will take my I pad
It's my birthday on Tuesday when the window closes
But I will be constantly in touch wifi permitting
It will be difficult for me but I will manage some how.

i would imagine most of us are trawling the net to find out the latest little gem that we are interested in.
It is however so depressing to see the type of players that we are actually looking at getting in to help the cause.
If we didn't have such a ravaged team hit by so many injuries i would like to think we would be a few points better off with a realistic chance of survival, for me now its getting to the point where i am starting to accept the inevitable.

Thats normally the case for me but this transfer window I am barely looking. Quick glance on Sky and newsnow, but I normally just expect to see something here first. Not really interested who we get cos we have already been informed that he will not be an improvement.

Don't have the heart to check like i used too. Soul has been torn out the club. Finding it really hard to connect. It's just a billionaire's failed project.

Aye, despite our financial problems, in the past we still hoped/expected us to go after a £10million+ player, this time we all know we have no chance of getting anybody worth getting excited about.

Getting the 'big' names in for the likes of Watford doesn't always work out especially if the **** hits the fan and there's a relegation battle on.

Someone like Snodgrass would be a good signing for most sides but you never know we might get another Anichebe on the cheap.

Just read drogba is without a club. Surely even a pot bellied 38 yr old drogba is a better fit and option for us than a lightweight 36 yr old Keane? Get Lampard in to do 4 months charity work too! Surely Moyes has some friends as he's been in the game so long

Around October-November when we were at the bottom with a few injuries I think our plan was to get to the transfer window and not be too far adrift, we would then be able to get some players in and get away from the relegation zone.
Well, it's worse than that because we have so many injuries. The case for strengthening had never been stronger yet here we are, near the end of the window, with one old boy in, at least one of our 'better' players probably leaving and no money for any new players.
Maybe we will get one or two has beens that nobody else will touch or Swansea's third choice left back to replace our Dutch international goal scoring left back. Have we still got Matthews? the lad from Scotland.
If replacing £12 million PVA with some cheap option makes us a better team then maybe we should replace all our decent players with Poundland players.
We can't compete with the likes of Burnley and most think that Charlie Adams won't come because he's still too good for us (and not old enough yet)

About four years ago, the Sunderland ladies team was right at the top of the women's football league and in the women's fa cup final against Arsenal on the tv.
They (SAFC) have now made them part time. Half of the England team played for Sunderland, Scott, Houghton, Bronze, Mead, Nobbs and others. They are all gone now and safc women look likely candidates for relegation this coming season.
These are the people deciding on our SAFC future. I have little faith in them.

Not just Adams either, I was hoping a few weeks ago that we might pick up Crouch on the cheap, then look what happens, this has been a shattering period in therecent history of our club since Big Sam dropped us in it, and its just gone from bad to worse. Just to add insult to injury, and we have had our share of these, I have heard Chelsea are interested in Craig Gordon.

First, I fail to see how Big Sam dropped us in it. He was offered his dream job (yes he ****ed it up) but the FA are the ones you should point the finger at IMO.

Second, how is Gordon possibly going to Chelsea adding insult to injury? He's nothing to do with us and hasn't been for donkeys.

Not interested. I've lost all enthusiasm for Sunderland. I'm resigned we are the this years whipping boys until the end of the season. I predict we will be cut adrift after the next 3 or 4 games.

Its a realistic prediction. But if by some miracle we are not, I will begin to think we are going to survive against all odds. Nil Desperandum

The manner in which they both left the club poorer, after I and others expected so much more from them.
