Shane Long has just put them 2-0 ahead on aggregate in the last minute.
Nice to see a less fancied team reach the final, its Hulls turn tomorrow.

Excellent for Southampton. I hope they enjoy Wembley, I've always had a soft spot for them.

Fair play to Klopp as well for sticking to his guns and not playing his strongest team.

Who else would you suggest he should have played?

I'm assuming that was sarcasm from 83 there, or hoping it was at least.

The number 1 keeper for a start.

    Klavan generally starts before Matip.

Wijnaldum has been starting lately but he was dropped tonight.

I thought Clyne had been rested but he's obviously still carrying a knock.

**** Southampton and every other football club in the world. Whilst we're in this mess footballs fairy tales are stark reminders of how we have woefully underachieved in my lifetime at least.

Thing that hit home to me was when they said Soton have won 1 trophy in their 130 year history - and they are still light years ahead of us and yet remind me how many times we have won the top league? Ffs

And I've just ready they've gotten to Wembley without conceding a single goal.

    Hope they win it.

That wasn't even close to being a second team for Liverpool, I'd say it was stronger than the one that started against us at Old Trafford.

    Sturridge started instead of Origi

    Coutinho started instead of Wijnaldum

    Karius started instead of Mignolet

Matip is better than Klavan, even Klopp was bemoaning the rules of AFCON and complaining that he couldn't start against us.

The rest was the same team.

The keeper was LFC man of the match. Klavan has been dodgy lately. I would have started Winegum instead of Can but the Saints wanted it more, were the better side over the 2 games and that LFC will win nothing unless they invest in some quality central defenders and more steel in midfield

Sorry mate but why should your pre war titles dictate where you are now?

Does it not mean that maybe we're due a bit of success now?

    Silly comment.
