So.... we go into the 2nd half of the season as such. We are bottom of the league We have players who want away….Kone and now it seems PVA We resort to signing up Lescott and rumours of Robbie Keane Our debt is slowly but surely strangling the life out of the club The owner wants to sell Our injury list ; a. Catts b. Big Vic c. Kirchoff d. McNair c. Watmore d. Pickford (all first team players) For the last 54 years of me supporting this club we have had our ups and downs….this is a particularly bad down. I hope against hope something in the 2nd half of the season will inspire the squad who actually want to pull on the shirt and play in front of our fans. But, given all of the above, it ain’t look looking too peachy right now. Seriously guys, I hate sounding negative and whoever (Lescott included) plays for my club will get my support. But if we escape this season...it will be bigger than anything I have seen in all my time watching Sunderland
I'm usually a pretty positive, glass half full guy, but i have to admit that i fear this is the season our top flight run will come to an end. If i'm proved wrong and DM does pull off yet another great escape, then this will be the greatest escape that i have ever witnessed.
Yes, all of this is bad, very bad. However, we haven't been relegated twice in 7 years and we don't have Dummett and Yedlin as our full backs, with Jack Colback and Isaac Hayden in centre midfielder Always look on the bright side of life
From the heart that and I have the same worries but although it's very gloomy I think back to same bad times the club's been through : eg negative mutterings when we signed Steve Bould , Niall Quinn, JOS, Wes, Defoe ,Vic, (all over the hill) but most have been decent and needed. Today we have very highly rated academy players who imo will make a big contribution very soon esp with advice from our senior pros. If we sign Robbie Keene will have on and off field benefits. We are not in a position to choose or attract the players us fans would like . The players need the type of hearty vocal support our away fans give - (like the last 2 games last season - a bouncing SOL is needed again

Still think we can stay up if we sign a target man. I mean this squad needs strengthening every where, but with a target man and players coming back it's doable, it would be no thanks to Short, if anyone deserves relegation it's him.
Your rivals for relegation are all strengthening. You need to strengthen ahead of them. That will be the key but is the dosh there?
But this is the lowest we have ever been, and i don't mean league position mate. The squad is ravaged by injuries to key players, lots of key players and others are away with Afcon. The squad is depleted to say the least. We have no money to spend and very little chance of any credible signings, so not much improvement going to happen there. The club has the biggest debt in it's history and actually haemorrhaging money on players who no longer feature for us. The owner wants out but can't sell cos of the debts and is actually charging the club an extortionate interest rate on money he loaned the club FFS. Nah, we've never been in a situation like this in the clubs history mate and if DM does manage to work a miracle and keep us up, he should have a statue built next to Bob Stokoe.
They have a new manager with new ideas and are putting £££ bids in for decent players. As are Swans and Palace.
Seen you do this joke a few time now. Here's a few facts which show what a drama queen you're being at the moment over older players. Moyes has handed 146 appearances to under 23 year olds this season. How many to over 30 year olds? 67. We've relied more on youth and less on senior player this season than I can remember. Your conclusions say more about how little you're paying attention than the state of our club. Get with the real program marra.
Hull are skint. They've moved on two of their better players and just accepted a bid on Snodgrass, their signings are cheep and not up to the standard. Bless, out of touch with the big league.
Thats the stark reality but it was very dark pre Drummavil and mackem enemy days - shudders thinking back to then. The situations were different to now but equally disturbing. We need almost blind faith and positivity if possible - it's not easy though KTF
Just seen you mention it a couple of time over the last few days. Just looks like you're trying to create a situation which doesn't really ad up to me, A work of fiction if you will. Or a drama.
