Cause we might be about to sign another crock..... Everton “midfielder” Darron Gibson is rumoured to be ready to make the move to the treatment table at Sunderland this month. Having failed to make a competitive appearance for Everton since May last year, many Evertonians were dumbfounded when Gibson was given a new contract by new boss Ronald Koeman last summer. Now, having failed to make an appearance under the new boss, David Moyes seems to have come knocking as he trawls the bargain bins for something to fill the gaps at Sunderland. Presumably there’s a space on the bench. A £500,000 signing from Manchester United under Moyes, Gibson does have an impressive passing range, but his fitness issues have led some Blues to question whether or not he has actually retired and just not told anyone. Thats it im done with football till August.
That's it when you've got nowt to spend. You get players who are always fit but ****e. Or you players like the Hoff who are clearly good enough but never play because they're crocked. Common practice this for us. Same mistakes being made year on year on year.
He drinks in my local pub where we watch the away matches on dodgy tele (if they ain't on non-dodgy tele). Looks like he's in good shape to be fair to him. I called this last week, just for the record
I'll take the crap but always fit players from now on. I'm sick to death of all these injuries. If anyone's had so much as a sniffle in the last ten years they can **** off.
I know mate but in our current skint situation I think we've got a better chance of getting somewhere with cheap plodders than cheap talented crocks. At least they'll be there to fill in when required. As long as they're on low wages and short term contracts that is.
Gibbo has a ****ing rocket of a right foot on him mind. If he arrives fit and stays fit, the guy could fast make a difference.
In our current situation we can do either for all I care, niether will be of benifit. We can't get better than we already have with the current attitude to transfers. Our status relies on the likes of Pickford and Catts coming back and staying fit. Might as well not have this transfer window if we're signing crocks or ****e.
It would be nice just to have somebody with the balls to get stuck in cos at this moment in time we have 10 soft sh*tes who bottle tackles and a pyscho in Bodgy who just takes players out.
I'd rather have a couple of the types of players that Gil mentions above to fill in when the likes of Catts and Kirchhoff get injured. They don't have to be great talents just decent solid players to come in and do a job as backup. We might get more joy from that then wasting a wage on the likes of Gibson who could well come in, have two good games then drop his weights on his foot and be out for the season. Given our season it's virtually a guarantee.
I'm not sure he's been injured much this past year mate I think he's just massively out of favour with Koeman or just deemed not good enough. @Tobes will know better.
If he can keep fit I think he will be a good acquisition. Certainly better than what we have at the moment.
That'd be ok if he's rarely injured but he's come back from one bad one and can't get back in the team, it's ones like Kirchhoff who we knew before signing him was hugely injury prone that in retrospect was a mistake. Anichebe too I'm sorry to say.
Yep. If he can get his head together, he's going to be very important for us. That's if we don't sell him.
I still expect him to be an Everton player before the end of this transfer window. Hoping I'm wrong tho.
