    Saturday 28th January 3pm
    FA Cup 4th Round
    White Hart Lane

Well we didn't break our record for consecutive Premier League wins, but at least we didn't lose.
Not many sides come back from two goals down, especially against a side like City.
The team's been on a break in Barcelona ever since, which strikes me as a little odd.
I wouldn't expect many of the to start this game, as we all know that Pochettino likes to rotate for the cups.

Our guests have a game tonight in the Checkatrade Trophy, formerly known as the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
Their trip to Mansfield is a quarter-final, but it won't generate much interest.
The FA have butchered the competition and the focus will be on the weekend's game.

Wycombe are currently on a fairly impressive unbeaten run of their own.
Their only loss in November, December and January was to Coventry on November 9th.
Even that was in the Checkatrade Group Stage, which they progressed from anyway.
Currently 15 games without defeat in all competition, which is something to bear in mind.
They've steadily risen up the League Two table and currently sit in 5th place.

So how did they get to this stage? Wins over Portsmouth, Chesterfield and Stourbridge.

This'll be the first time that the sides have met in a competitive game, so history will be made.
Who do we have to look out for to avoid being on the wrong end of it?
First and foremost, it has to be The Beast! <laugh>

Adebayo Akinfenwa may be 34 now, but he's a cult figure for a reason.
The muscular centre-forward will be looking to cause us problems on set-pieces and from long balls.
He's, er... not quick, but he'll fancy it if we pick inexperienced defenders.

Jamal Blackman will be between the sticks. He's a 6'6" Chelsea youth player, currently out on loan.
I'm sure he'd love to make a name for himself at Stamford Bridge by giving us an issue.

Scott Kashket's their other big goal threat, having a breakthrough season after being released by Orient.
He blames his problems there on their current Italian owners and the club's trajectory might suggest he's right.
His own form might, too. He's scored 13 goals in only 17 appearances in this campaign.

We have no suspensions for this one, but Lamela and Vertonghen will miss out through injury.
The Chairboys have no bans either, while injury news is hard to come by.

Lineups for each side's last league game:

Spurs: Lloris; Dier, Alderweireld, Wimmer; Walker, Wanyama, Dembele, Rose; Eriksen, Alli; Kane.
Subs: Vorm, Trippier, Carter-Vickers, Davies, Winks, Sissoko, Son.
    League form: WWWWWD.

Wycombe: Blackman: Jacobson, Pierre, Stewart, Jombati; Wood, O'Nien, Gape; Cowan-Hall, Hayes, Akinfenwa.
Subs: Richardson, De Havilland, Kashket, Weston, Saunders, Bean, Thompson.
    League form: WDWWDD.

    Referee: Roger East.

    TV: Not televised.

I think that we're all expecting changes, but how many should we make?
Which system should we adopt, who needs to come in and who needs to definitely not play?

Wycombe's Kashket and Jacobson are both Jewish...does that make them more of a 'Yid Army' than us?

Wanyama and Dier vs Akinfenwa or do we reckon Poch will thrust CCV and Kev into battle against the beast?

I have seen 'the beast' play a few times at Gillingham and at his level he is very good at what he does . In fact at league 2 level I have not seen a better player at holding the ball and creating chances for his colleagues than Bayo, but he plays at that level for a reason and I think that we should be able to cope with him no matter which pair of defenders we choose. Lots of changes for me 4-3-3 Vorm , Trippier, Davies, CCV, Wimmer, Winks, Dier, Sissoko, N'koudo, Son and Jansen.

The only thing I'm somewhat worried about is the whole "magic of cup" theme, Wycombe will no doubt play like a Prem side for at least 65-70 minutes, the size of Akinfenwa leads to believe he won't last the 90, especially with the pace we play at so I just hope we can contain him and a well up for it Wycombe side.

Agree mostly with your selection, only change I'd make is Onomah in for Janssen and have Son play up top. Sounds bad on Janssen but I just think he hinders us at the moment, never looks like scoring and even the impressive hold up play he had at the start of the season seems to have disappeared, whereas Son on the other hand tends to find himself in two or three good spots each game whether he's at LW or CF and has finished a decent number of his chances this season.

A back line-up including Davies, Trippier, CCV is what I expect.
With Toby also on the brink regarding his hamstring, IMHO we have to get CCV
more games as the final third of the season looms (I am thinking similarly as to
whether he could start the Europa games against Gent) .

Onomah should've gone out on loan in the summer. I know others rate him quite highly but I personally can't see what the fuss is about. Doesn't work hard enough for our system and lacks the pace and control to make up for it. Add to that the fact that he is competing for a spot with 4-5 players who are years off their peak still (Sissoko being the exception) and I sadly cannot see a future at the club for him.

Not starting Janssen in a home game against lower league opposition would be a massive blow to his already brittle confidence. The sort that he might not recover from for the rest of the season. I'd go for:

    Vorm
    Trippier CCV Wimmer Davies
    Winks Dier
Sissoko Son GKN (never going to happen)
    Janssen

Would be interesting to see Winks pinging passes out to some serious pace in the '3', but I doubt Poch will go for it.

I'm a fan of Josh. His pressing game needs improving but I think his link-up play is really impressive and he can beat a man as well, although perhaps doesn't do it often enough. I wouldn't say he lacks pace either but naturally he's not on Walker's/ GKN's level of speed. He's still only 19 and is learning from some of the very best around in his position, the competition right now is healthy for him I'd say, though I would like to see him get a bit more game time than what he gets so he can start showing what I feel is great potential.

As for Janssen, I just feel like his current situation is killing him while it's not doing the club any favours. I'd much rather he get loaned out than Josh. He's lost his place in the squad due to Son's capability of playing the 9 role more efficiently and so his only games are coming against lower class opposition in which he still struggles against. I say loan him out, let him get some solid minutes in and with that hopefully recapture the form that saw him smash the Eredivisie.

I think janssen will get the nod up front but he really needs to put in a good performance the fans have been patient up till now but how long will it last. On the wycombe front they have sold out their allocation of 4035 and will be right up for it with the vocal backing behind them they won again last night but it wasn't their first team that's 16 unbeaten and in any league that's impressive. The players will run through brick walls for manager Gareth ainsworth and the team spirit is fantastic. I expect wycombe to go to the lane and have a go they definitely won't go there and sit back that's not their style .I expect spurs to win but it's the fa cup you never know .

He was on Talksport earlier, first time at the Lane for him, how he's played against Dele before etc etc. Good guy I hope he smashes a thunderbolt against the bar, that's as best as I can wish for the Beast I'm afraid.

I hope we play a second 11. There's always some risk but every league game's so important at the moment and there's some good players that need more gametime.

Bollocks to playing 3 at the back too, it was a waste of time doing it against Villa and doesn't work as well without Rose and Walker on the wings.

    I'd go for:

Lopes(or whatever his name is, the guy that's on loan from Espanyol)
    Trippier, CCV, Wimmer, Davies
    Winks, Dier
    Onomah, Son, N'Koudou
    Janssen
