When was the last time we had an uneventful season, with no takeovers, promotion or relegation battles etc?
Oh I was taking his question literally. Then yeah it's been a while. I think it's rarer to find a club not pushing for promotion or fighting off relegation.. Ipswich?
1904, the rest of the time has been panty wetting ****s................. kinda like now....................
We moved in Dec 2002. The first full season was the promotion 2003/4 For a truly uneventful season I think we probably have to go back to one of our mid-table Div 2 finishes in the mid 70's
Changed managers in March That was the season of the infamous sentence "John, it's Adam. Brian's gone"
I was thinking this the other day , if you add in protests over travelling on a bus etc, there is always some event going on .... Makes it interesting tho , some clubs must be boring to support
Wasn't that the second "Name Change" season. In 1901/02 we were formed as Hull Association Football Club and changed in July 1902 to Hull City Football Club for 1902/03 with a further name change to Hull City Association Football Club for the 1903/04 season. We might have stayed as HCFC for two seasons though, its so long ago, I forget. No ground of our own either
I do believe there was, it only lasted 24 Allam hours, anyway turned out the Austrian chap wasn't a fit and proper person.
