"A source close to Leagueofireland.ie have told us that Tobi Adebayo-Rowling is on the radar of Portsmouth FC who is currently managed by former boss Paul Cook.

Cook is seemingly willing to pay approx 50k to capture the signature of the wing back.

Adebayo-Rowling is on the radar of plenty of clubs in England, but is contracted with Sligo Rovers for one more season"

He is 20 years of age, just over 6' in height, and a former Brighton and Peterborough youngster. Can play right wing back, or as a right winger. Born in Camden Town, London, and eligible to play for both England and Nigeria.

Apparently, Crystal Palace, Sunderland and Liverpool have all had a look at him.

We are also being linked with Liam Lindsay, a 6'3" centre half, from Partick Thistle. 21 years of age, and plays in the same side as our ex-utility player Adam Barton.

Lindsay, was watched by Portsmouth, Birmingham and Leeds against Dundee, after the clubs became aware that the player is available.

According to Wiki, he has played 47 games for them, scoring 6 goals - not a bad scoring record for a centre half !

Looking forward to seeing Jamal Lowe the lad we signed from non-league getting a run out. We only need a bit of tinkering not wholesale stuff. If a decent Keeper became available I'd say we buy - we need to own our first choice in my opinion.

You are so right Eastney <ok>. Not sure about David Forde in goal, as he does make elementary mistakes during matches. Have never seen Liam O'Brien play either.

Surely, a team in the top two divisions must have a decent reserve goalie we can either sign permanently, or on loan to replace him ?

Jamal Lowe does sound a useful player who knows how to score on a regular basis. Him and Conor Chaplin up front sounds 'tasty'.

Cheers Woop - and yes those two as an upfront option could be a real result. Forde isn't bad but I agree he seems to have at least a mistake a game in him. I was surprised sorting it wasn't higher on PC's list tbh. No question we were spoilt for a number of years with some excellent keeper's so it's a lot to live up too. Jamo, Begs, Ashdown, Henderson...all class. Yes a second/third choice Champ keeper would be good on loan.

Oldham Athletic, Portsmouth and Crawley Town are all thought to be battling it out to sign Brighton & Hove Albion defender Rob Hunt on loan for the remainder of the campaign according to The Argus.

The 21-year-old Dagenham born right back put in a solid performance in a rare start for Albion as they beat Sky Bet League One club MK Dons at The Amex Stadium on Saturday and other clubs are now expected to be queueing up to land the player on loan.

Hunt is being eased into first team football on the South Coast and it is thought that Albion would favour sending the youngster out on loan to gain more first team experience. It has been reported that Oldham Athletic, Portsmouth and Crawley Town have all made initial enquiries about the player’s availability.

    Pompey eye second non-league striker.

Pompey are casting their eye over a second Hampton & Richmond striker - and he has scored more goals this season than Jamal Lowe!

Centre-forward Nicke Kabamba has spent two days training with the Blues as they put his talents under close scrutiny.
The 23-year-old has so far registered 25 times in 36 games for the National South side, bringing himself to Pompey’s attention.
At the Beavers, Lowe operated behind Kabamba as the duo established themselves as a prolific outlet for Alan Dowson’s side.
Now Kabamba is hoping to follow his close pal to Fratton Park on a permanent basis.

Hampton & Richmond chairman Steve McPherson told The News: ‘Portsmouth have shown interest in another player of ours.
‘Nicke Kabamba has been with them this week for two days, which is a similar arrangement we initially had for Jamal.

‘Basically come down for two days, we will look at you, you look at us and we’ll see how we go.

‘Other clubs have made offers for Nicke, which I have said are not acceptable.

‘He is young, raw, not as good as Jamal at the moment but still a good player, and a lot of clubs are showing interest.

‘He’s a centre forward and best friends with Jamal, they probably come as a package, buy one get one free!

‘It’s nice to have that link with Portsmouth. No disrespect to some of the teams in the National Conference or League Two, but I don’t think there is that much of a gap these days.’

Lowe scored 23 goals in 31 matches for Hampton & Richmond before this month joining Pompey on an 18-month contract for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old has quit his job as a car salesman to make the switch to full-time football.

Kabamba has agreed an 18-month contract at Fratton Park, with the option of a further year.

The former Burnham and Hemel Hempstead man has scored 16 league goals for the Beavers, who play in National League South, this season.

"I'm really grateful for this opportunity and hopefully I can bring my scoring ratio into this league," he said.

"Coming from non-league, and now signing for a club like Pompey, life's going to completely change.

"I've quit my job as a car salesman after four years and I will be moving down to the area."

I have a good feeling about this signing, especially him linking up again at Fratton Park with Jamal Lowe. Having seen them on You tube, they seem to have a very good understanding as strikers.

I wonder if we looked at him. Right on our doorstep. Maybe one of the teams he dismissed <laugh>

This is a great transfer window with the club signing raw talent and potential from non-league teams from the London area. I believe there is so much talent around in the London area that Pompey should really trawl for any future talent. I really hope Lowe and Kabamba have as good a career as Ian Wright who played in non league before being signed by Palace and also more recently Vardy. Well done Pompey!! And thank you Richmond. The club should really play them in a friendly pre-season as a thank you.

Hi Ron ! The good news for us is that they are literally "best mates", which is how we signed them.

Yes I noticed. It is a big plus. However, if one gets a regular place and the other one doesn't, that friendship might (only might) fade.

Hello Ides ! Our chief scout does appear to be doing this at last, looking at non-league players presumably recommended to the club. I hope this all works out for the players <ok>

Good signings hopefully - but we are in desperate need of a reserve team competition next season to nurture these sort of players.

We have let Slovakian winger Milan Lalkovic join Scottish Premier side Ross County on loan for the rest of the season.

I liked him as a player, better than Kyle Bennett to my mind. Strange decision that.

Pompey have been running the rule over Dorking Wanderers winger Matt Briggs, according to the Surrey Mirror. The pacy and strong wideman has been attracting attention from several clubs following his performances in Ryman League division one south.

And in a report by the Mirror, the Blues have joined the likes of Crystal Palace, Stoke and Charlton in registering an interest. Twenty-year-old Briggs, from the north east, has 18 months remaining of a two-year contract at Dorking. He has scored 11 goals for Dorking Wanderers this season.
