Good to see we are growing our brand in emerging markets. It is part of the next step in the growth of the club.

Torn on this one...part of me wants us to get wider exposure, whereas I question the value of such tournaments compared with a carefully organised preseason closer to home.

With the sort of money China are throwing into football I wouldn't be surprised to see a competitive European match take place there in the next few years, much like the NFL does in London. Maybe a Milan derby or something. The FA's of most countries would happily bend the rules if it meant a nice cash windfall going their way.

Eventually the MLS and the Chinese Super League will be on a level with the top European leagues. I much prefer the way the Americans are going about it, but I expect it will be the Chinese who get there first simply because they are throwing the most money into it. Ironically, when these leagues take over from the Premier League as the most watched, the England national team will probably improve to standard it should be. I'm talking another 20-30 years though so let's not get too excited yet.
