imo it's come down to this. Sign a target man or we're ****ed. Simple as that.

I possibly got a quick glimpse of the incident that could have caused his injury when he was clattered by two WBA defenders at the same time and that evil sod Jacob had some afters.

If this is right then this could be the final nail in our coffin, I've never known a season where so many players are laid low with knee ligament injuries, Astounding.

Amazing isn't it - you often get a big muscle damage list (strains and sprains) but most of our injuries are complete accidents and not something that could've been avoided by differrent coaching/fitness training.

Ab @Nostalgic said, can;t believe Jacob didn;t get a card of any description on Saturday. Was disgraceful.

As for @Brian Creampie saying sign a target man - wish that was all we needed! Should go offer stoke £6m for Crouch!!!

It's getting really hard not to get seriously pissed off with our injury list this season. If Anichebe had played these last few games we might well have got points from them, he's hugely influential. FFS.

It's the basic of what we need. We've proved beyond any doubt we can't keep the ball in our opponents half without one. With us being so substandard everywhere else a target man is our only hope as far as I can see.

Theory on injuries. Sam used very very expensive sports science techniques, ones which are controversial like the ice chamber things designed for continuous use for conditioning. Maybe when Sam left a stop was put to such expensive measures. Maybe an abrupt stop to such techniques can be detrimental to maintenance and recovery?

    Good point, mate.

I don't believe Sam's methods is responsible for what is happening now, but maybe what you have said has some substance to it. I like it <ok>

Aye I've said this before when trying to get to the bottom of it, we may well have stopped renting all the equipment when Moyes took over or when Allardyce left. I'm not even sure the ice chamber does anything other than a placebo effect but maybe we could do with that now.

It not normal though is it? These injuries. Both Sam and Moyes have decades of working with footballers, hard to believe it's the fault of either as they have so much experience. So maybe it was the transition as certain technology suddenly became unavailable? Another we'll never know I supose.

Added to which budget restrictions and poor decision making has resulted in buying players who are known to be injury prone, we've got loads of them some who were worth the risk some who weren't.

Plus with our latest Big Vic, he was not involved and others who have left the club since and are playing elsewhere seem to be OK, which points to it being bad luck on our part, the t**t who did Big Vic has form, how he gets away with it season after season is cause for concern the dirty b*****d.

He's been injury prone everywhere he's been is what I'd put it down to.

Yeah but it's been muscle injuries mainly Giacch. This one looked more like a Yacob kick from behind which could potentially cause ligament damage - he was dirty as hell against us (and is mainly against everyone) but seems immune to the cards and keeps getting away with it - was a tackle from behind on Anichebe

I haven't seen the game (as I'm away at the minute) but he's had history of knee issues, though it could be a different one for all I know.

Yep that Yacob is a dirty bastard every game I've ever seen him play. He's good at what he does though and pisses everyone off.

That's his job, does it impeccably. Unsung hero for WBA.

Wound up Dele Alli late on last season, Alli punched him, Spurs went on to blow the best chance they've ever had to win the league.

Absolutely! Pulis always has one of them in his team - he's a lot like Cabaye in that respect although not as good a footballer! We could certainly do with him!!

Biggest injury list in the PL with 46 injuries in total throughout the squad this season.

Best of luck in the relegation battle, after we play each other.
