June next year. A good place to look is transfermarkt. I generally google, say - Maya Yoshida transfermarkt - and it drops you straight into the page that gives their current contract.

I've said elsewhere that anyone who runs below two years I now expect to go - we're very good at extending early, so I think a non-extension means leaving. That leaves Maya and Oriol in the starting blocks, I'm afraid. Hope I'm wrong.

Then again, if I was Maya I'd leave after being roared at for one misplaced 40 yard pass today when Virgil got away with a couple of 20 yard missed ones without a murmur.

Gabbiadini isnt actually THAT good. If the worst was to happen and we don't progress to wembley then should we really spend that sort of money on him? Our season has been stalling and is at great risk of petering out anyway. I would rather we sign a CB and wait til summer for a better grade of forward.

 

Apparently we have shown interest in Kara Mbodji, fee believed to be around £7m.

 

I think we'd all feel happier if we bought someone crap rather than not buy anyone at all. After all, a rubbish Chrimbo prezzie is still better than no Chrimbo prezzie.

 

It's not either-or, we might sign both!

 

Why does Wembley make any difference?
You don't sign a player for one game, spending £14m+ is a long term investment.

Know what you mean - I seemed to get socks this last Christmas - why I needed that many pairs from the wife and the step-mother... about 2 years worth of supplies!!

We need a striker - we have Long and Jay at the moment, with Redmond as an 'apprentice forward'...

 

A CB is more of a priority, i would save the money til summer when players move more freely.
Wembley makes a difference because he could help ensure a Europa place which would be great.

 

Agreed we need players but the positions should be prioritised. At the beginning of the window Gabbiadini was seen an ok signing by most, Now towards the end of the window some are pleading to sign him.

We may sign him, he may be great but i would sign Schar if at all possible but reality says Sako on loan to buy and a better forward in the summer. Wednesday night will give everyone a clearer idea as to how our season will pan out.
