Fully agree mate and i wish we could keep him, but if we need to raise funds then he is the obvious choice to go. I'd rather we kept him and send Janusaj back tbh honest but that wouldn't raise any funds for future transfers. What a ****ing state our club is in eh?

I'm just pleased that he may head back to Italy and not another premier league club so he can come back to haunt us.

We'd have to pay Man U to take him back. I don't like Januzaj, he a lazy **** but Moyes has a soft spot for him I don't really get.

The stats on Borini do not tell the whole story either, most of his goals are of the memorable or spectacular variety, tap ins are rare, but if we do need to sell to improve the team I would go along with it in the current situation, but its a sad state of affairs when we have to sell our better players yet stick with some of the dross still here because we can not afford to get rid of them.

This is one of my annoyances with him though. He never seems to do the basic stuff easily, like his first touch or a fairly simple pass to a team mate. Yet he can stick a 25 yard volley into the top bin at Old Trafford.

I'd gladly pay the money and get shot of him.

Defeats the object of the club being skint though don't it

I don't think it's a case of being skint Bri, more the FFFP rules. He's got an amount to spend, not sure what that is but it's small, it's the wages that will break us.

Revenue mate. Lack of revenue is bringing our wage freedom down. That's being lowered by our debt outgoings some of which we owe interest on. Oh we're skint. It would be spending money we don't have. We're buying all our players in installments and increasing the debt too. Take Ndong. 14m aye? We've only paid a million so far, the rest is installments, added to our debt basically. We haven't being paying for our players outright for years. We owe money for players we don't own anymore. Sending loan players back won't help, cause not only will we have to pay the wages to the end of his loan anyway, we'd need a lump sum to cancel the contract. Our only hope of getting shot of Januzaj is for Man U to sell him.

Basically we keep refinancing and consolidating our debts. Scrapping desperately to keep control.

I fully agree mate, but apart from the elite, isn't this the way of most clubs? admittedly our situation is far worst than the rest like. When i said skint, i meant we could make cash available somehow, whether that be another dodge loan from ES or an instalment plan.

No it isn't mate, the TV deal has most Prem clubs either debt free or a tiny debt(less than 50m), most are running in the black too. We can always refinance to generate more money, just lessens our chance of getting out of this mess.

Apparently we paid nothing for Borini first season and his first installment was paid in the summer. our accounts must be a nightmare to calculate

They would all be shown in the accounts nevertheless. Some would just be shown as long term liabilities as opposed to current (short term).

If the majority of out transfers have been done like this then selling Borini as mentioned wouldn't actually raise anything as we'd still have to pay Liverpool the amount we still owe.

I don't think once a player is sold that the outstanding amount has to be paid in full. The installment plan continues which is why we're still paying for players who have gone. So if we got a lump sum for borini we could in theory take the money and buy an other player on installments and put the lump sum towards wages. That's if we got a lump sum, chances are the sale of borini would be to a club paying in installment too, especially overseas clubs who paying in installments as the norm. Very complicated and messy. I bet we've made miscalculations in our finances and put ourselves more in the ****e. Maybe Maggie and AJ was just her final strike after ****ing our accounts up. Wouldn't put it passed us <laugh>

Beg to differ mate, a lot of clubs pay in increments and always have done.

I don't know what you mean. I thought increments was to increase, ie salary increase. I don't understand how you've used the word here or what it's in relation to? <confused>

Do you mean installments? I've already acknowledged in post #75 that other clubs pay in installments so no idea what you're on about. you've lost me.

That 1 in 5 includes penalties, a skill he excels in, but you can't carry a passenger on the off chance of us getting a penalty and Defoe not being on the field to take it
