Actually, I meant because any resolution is likely to take a good deal of time (amicable or otherwise) and the current window shuts soon.
I was thinking more because a settlement is likely to be an up front amount where his wages would be paid over time, so the Allams would be paying out more now than expected (and less in future).
Let's hope this is resolved today and we can move on. Sacking, pay off or gardening leave? I'm sticking with pay off.
I hope whatever happens it results in a complete severence with Bullard. We can't move on until this thing is resolved.
I've just been reading Percy's mind and he thinks we should.. 1. drop the case and aplogize to Jimmy immediately 2. make him an alderman of the city 3. erect a statue of him in front of The Weir, Hessle 4. up his wages to £65k a week plus appearances 5. employ a personal eastern european female massage "consultant" for him 6. give him his own mini-bar at the training ground 7. hand him his own cheque book signed by Mr Allam so he can spend at will in Las Vegas every holiday 8. make his captain and put him straight into the team vs Ipswich on saturday 9. let him off training this week 10. pay all his legal costs deny it!
I think he maybe persuaded to sign for QPR on a reduced salary and avoid being sacked. If he is successfully sacked, I would have thought we would also seek to sue him for damages. As this would amount to millions he might not be willing to risk such a thing. At the very least it would be costly in terms of legal representation for all concerned. The cheaper option for him might well be to accept a free transfer to QPR on a reduced salary, say of £25k with big game bonuses.
http://www.1882qpr.com/forum/topic/3446#3446 interesting......seems there's some firming up of QPR rumour- JB could come out of this smelling of roses, a negotiated pay-off from us and straight into a QPR contract.....

he forgot to add: a) prone to the odd injury! b) likes a beer (or whatever) allegedly c) beware the talcum powder in the changing room (allegedly)
I'm assuming Jimmy has lined up maybe QPR as his next club on the quiet for when he is officially released. He goes into todays disciplinary meeting all outraged and defensive and gobsmacked by the 'hideous' allegations. He then walks away with his head hunched until he is out of earshot and rings QPR and confirms his arrival. Whilst he is poncing about the west end over the next 6 months, his expensive London 'brief' is working on a huge unfair dismissal compensation package.
as you may have seen in a post i started at the weekend, both Richard Archer and indirectly, Hard-Fi's lead guitarist Ross Phillips, indicated that the deal was done last week. They also suggested that he had been out on the piss last week with Ross being well worse for wear the following day
The DQPR is not a surprise and they are well matched for each other. I will be amazed if The Allams pay JB anything exccept a months money in leiu of notice. City hold his registration and i would suggest that they would use that ace to get JB to walk away. Otherwise, its see you in court jimmy boy. Sounds like a long meeting by all accounts.
Sorry if I've missed this somewhere, but does anyone know what time this meeting is/was taking place?
Young Jimmy was on the 20.30 out of Kings Cross last night. Seemed quite relaxed and was in first class of course. Funny thing was he only had a holdall so I guess he is not expecting to stay for long.
