JINX!!!!! you forgot to out in a story about the actual swansea game to call what would happen. ANd you should have updated your plymouth one to lucas goal? well now you've ruined it.
Van Djik went off injured today. After losing Fonte the Saints will need him or they will have two reserve CB's whoever that might be.
Not on the **** list for me, kinda feel sorry for the guy. Coming back from winning with Portugal he signed Mendez as his manager and was promised a move to the likes of Man U, in the end he ends up at West Ham. we get 8 million for a player with his best years behind him, able to play 1 game a week and has that ability of giving away a penalty when there is no danger at all. He has another year in the PL before moving to Sporting for his last hurrah. Great captain and leader of men though, also our last player from League 1 days
Just a knock it looks like. Not 100% guranteed for Wednesday but it looks like he will be fit. And Yoshida is not a reserve CB. He's been excellent.
That's not what I wanted to here the way we are playing at the moment, but we will see what happens on Wednesday
And we'll have Romeu and Clasie sitting in front of them like we did in the first leg. We'll probably set up exactly like we did in the first leg - sit back, let you have the ball in harmless areas, press hard when you get in our third of the pitch and hit you on the counter.
Matip played an hour for the under 23's today. Does this mean he will only be on the bench for the Saints game. Would prefer him to Klavan for this one as Saints will look to counter atack with speed and Klavan does not have the legs for that.
It'll be stupid for us to go through all this with FIFA for Matip to then not play him at all against Swansea or Southampton!
Congrats to southampton. Weve already lost this tie. Our best football is behind us and wont be seen again til march when a long shot at 4th might still be possible if the others continue to **** up. Saint better beat utd in the final though... if utd win then 6th will be europa slot and lfc wont want that cos when we finish there we want to pretend having no europe is a huge advantage
We might as well give up now. Utd will pass us in the next two games and we will be out of the league cup. I just hope we take the wolves game seriously cos it will be a cruelly long end of season with only 6th to look forward to.
Are you serious? The tie with Southampton is still very much in play. We should easily beat them. We need to get 2 goals. Yes, not easy but not impossible either. We are still favourites to go to the final. And I can't see the mancs overtaking us. Not just yet.
