You've got to love Chapman ..................... a shot of a smiling Gordon Elliot after A To Phil won and Chapman says "He only usually looks like that when he's ordering dinner"
Yorkhill is one crazy bastard isn't he. Gotta love him, such a huggeeeee engine in there but his jumping was bit mad today. Better gallop on good ground round Prestbury park will see him in his best light, just like it did last season. And please don't forget Mullins novices usually take a huge step forward from there run before Cheltenham, Vautour had his doubters prior to silencing them by 15lengths in the JLT, don't be surprised should history to repeat.
Nice to see Mr Meade winning a nice pot for a change, Elliott's been winning pretty much every top handicap around this season.
If he settles nicely he ought to win. Do we know what the opposition is shaping up like in the JLT? Buveur D'air was heading there last I heard but little bits of rumour about him reverting to hurdles. Guess his next run will decide but he hasn't looked the natural chaser I hoped and would prefer to see him over hurdles.
Waiting Patiently at 16s, but I would wait for NRNB as his participation will be ground dependent. Not seen much else that floats my boat for the JLT.
The Supreme form different class to the Neptune, neither of them have looked great over fences but 7/1 Buveur Dair is probably the bet of the meeting if he turns up, Henderson didnt want to split him and Altior this time last year. 7/4 Yorkhill the lay of the meeting at this stage. He was tailed off behind Buveur Dair victim Petit Mouchoir in the Punchestown novice. The 3rd from the Neptune has been beaten half the track by the northern handicapper as has the 4th by Nicholls horse for this. Yanworth was off his feet to get the better of The New One who is grade 2 level now, and Lil Rockefeller who has always been Grade 2 level. Petit Mouchoir should beat him easily in the Champion Hurdle.
no idea what my last two cheltenham predictions were and completely irrelevant in any case would assume my last two cheltenham predictions were in the last two races of the meeting but cant remember for sure
Yorkhill and Limini made my cheltenham last year antepost, but just calling it like I see it with Yorkhill. Beefy is clinging onto the last few years of Mullins utopia, Yorkhill has never been a Vautour level animal so no point referencing him. The Empire is crumbling, just need to deal with it and start buying Team Elliot caps.
Mullins only has 21 of the 32 entered for the Deloitte, usually has at least 27 for that. Nobody wants to know you on the way down.
Im happy with the 6/1 I got on him, but wouldn't touch the price he is now. He looks abit of a quirky bastard but it was only his second run over fences. I wouldn't be keen on Buveur D'air's jumping either. And I'm not sure if Waiting Patiently is ground dependent.
I don't believe it, beeforsalmon, honestly I was going to remark something similar just three or four hours ago "1 of the top judges in Europe", what of "Bullshit"? Decided what the hell won't do any good. But he's not the only WUM on here, one other I can think of who's very popular with many people, have to say. A bit of different aftertiming from me, had a tough one today in the big race over your place, Stellar Notation, got mugged right on the bloody line by the favourite. Really did fancy this one. Oh well, c'est la vie! please log in to view this image On re-reading this criticism, I should explain that is surely more civilized and correct to let your peers decide as to whether or not you are "1 of the top judges in Europe"? Even if it is a joke, it is a pretty arrogant statement?
I was on Stellar Notion myself ran a good race but just didn't quite see it out as strong as the winner.
