    There's worse than Andy Gray. On ESPN and ESPN Desportes in the US they have a charcter called Tommy (old onion bag) Smythe - he makes Gray sound wonderful.

    My favourite from him was the last time Liverpool played Barcelona away. After Barca had scored he went on a prolonged rant about how skilled and professional the barca defence was and how it was nigh-on impossible for Liverpool to score at which point he had to say "Oh! Liverpool have scored". He just couldn't speak when we scored a 2nd!!

    Tyler was widely vilified for comments such as 'did you hang out the back of it', and even lost his job. Think that counts as being unpopular.

The angle was so difficult; and the camara, positioned on the stantion of the goal, was almost hit and rocked off it's hinges by the force of Fowler's shot!!"
