Typical Spurs, no consistency. It can't be all be down to the loss of one player. It's just a **** performance. We'll never win anything until we get some consistency.
OK, our worst 45 minutes this season and we are still level. We will not play as badly in the second half. We are still in this game, disappointing, but level.
Everton have sparked this lot into a great performance but it's important they got nothing out of their domination. Spurs can now go out in the second half forewarned and forearmed.
We are very, very lucky not to be 2 or 3 down at HT. Wimmer and Dier have been abysmal, Dembele and Wanyama have given them the freedom of Manchester in the middle, and the front 3 aren't working hard enough. With Liverpool and United unexpectedly dropping points, I sincerely hope Poch reads them the riot act at HT because we urgently need it. City's pride was clearly hurt badly by the humiliation at Everton and what annoys me is that it doesn't look as though we had anticipated that they would start at 100mph. This has been one of those 'we'll turn up and stroll around' performances.
We have been awful but still in it and Citeh have played a completely different game - pressing high and hard like 'Pool. You hope that they won't be able to keep it up.
I only got back just in time for the last 10 mins. Thank **** I was out for most of that. What the hell is going on?! We don't look at the races!
0-0. Very lucky to be level. City pressing us very well and our defence is all over the place. Wanyama and Lloris are the only ones to come out of that with any credit imo. That said, I counted 3 stamps in that half, plus Sterling pushing Rose towards the post. Sane, Silva, Otamendi and Sterling should all be in the book. And what's the deal with shoulder barges? Everytime we do it we're penalised and when City do it, they're allowed. We need to have the defence, particularly Alderweireld drop off a bit, then look to hit on the counter. We could do with more pace in attack too, Son or N'Koudou would be good second half subs.
We haven't been playing well, but that shouldn't stop the ref giving yellow cards to City. They've been following through all the time without being penalised. The BT commentary has said "accidental" more times than I've heard in a long time, and I don't think many if any of them were.
