Every intelligent 'Pool fan knows that. I was chatting to a couple of guys on the way out on Wednesday and one of them said he could predict the "Liverpool didn't play well" on Sky. In his words "****ing ****e, mate. You were brilliant tonight.". Dropped my car off at my garage this morning. The boss is a season ticket holder at Anfield and had heard exactly this sentiment expressed on Sky. His view was it was disrespectful. "Your lot knew what their jobs were and they did them. We were lucky not to get stuffed." But Red, you know that there are some gobby prats among every group of supporters who'll claim that we were lucky to have caught you on a bad day and our win had nothing to do with us! For those travelling up to the away game, by the way, try the Flat Iron pub for a great pre-match chat with some very knowledgeable fans. Any where else you'd recommend, Red?
It sounded like 20-30 on the aggro right by the away fans. The rest of us politely clapped the Justice song to show we disapproved - so I think most fans came out of it well enough.
Liverpool fans sing about the Munich disaster...two wrongs don't make a right, but just shows that every club has a few idiots.
