Your desperate attempt to make a cheeky bandit sign into you knowing all about something was hilarious. Hang your head.
Probably what Dirty frank said and Mito Not sure really, thought he looked a bit heavier set too. Maybe he is beefing up to deal with premiership. Last year he seemed to really appreciate having Klopp as manager and i get the impression he would run through the brick wall for him. Even the other day against utd i thought he put a good shift in, just not a noticable one. Would not be surprised if Klopp has asked him to beef up. Or like i said what DF said
I've read the comments from the Liverpool point of view so here is one from an Argyle perspective. At the start I thought we looked nervous. You have to understand that playing in front of a 17000 crowd of bheying fans is not something the players here do every week. Ity took you to score for us to start actually playing and when we did I thought we looked quite presentable. We were never going to look like a premiership team because we aren't one but for a league 2 side I thought we did pretty decent and kept the league 2 reputation up at the very least. Despite the Liverpool supporters claiming youth and the like there were enough international type players on show for them to have done a lot better than 1 - 0 over 180 minutes plus injury time. I thought we gave it a decent go and did not look overawed by the occasion. Out keeper even managed to phsyc out the penalty taker. We could have equalised but for the width of a post and in my opinion it would not have been unjust. Overall you deserved your victory. We played to the strengths of our players which in the broad spectrum of things is afterall the right thing to do. We didn't get hammered over two games. We made a wedge of money out of it as a club which is what it is all about in league 2 and our position. I would be lying if I said I didn't want a giant killing act but I want promotion more so I am not too bothered to be out of the cup again and only having the league to worry about. I have heard nothing but good things about our fans trip to Merseyside and the reception we got there. I absolutely hope that your people were afforded the same on the return leg and they enjoyed their visit to the WestCountry. I would also like to say that my visit to your board has been nothing if not courteous. Some boards don't seem to like visitors much. It's about time your club did something again so best of luck with the rest of your season and I hope we went out to the cup winners this time. Cheers folks.
Fair points, agree with most of that. I think your squad have done brilliantly over the two legs and deserve a lot of credit for only letting one goal in over the 180 minutes against an attack as potent as ours. To be honest its been nice from our perspective to hear from a level headed supporter of an opposing club. All opposition supporters are welcome here, apart from Mancs, they can go **** themselves.
Remember him throwing his teddy out of the cot because we put out the reserves against Fulham the weekend before a CL semi: yet he'd put his reserves out against Untard the week before in the league on the basis that he thought they couldn't win, and they were playing a relegation six-pointer three days later against one of their rivals? That must have gone down well at Chelsea, who were vying with Uniturd for the league at the time.
Had you scored when you hit the post you would have gone on to win it, I truly believe. Good luck for the future, and I hope you can use that £1m you've earned to buy a few good players in the window that'll boost your promotion chances. And your fans are up there with Dortmund's, imo.
Good to have opposition supporters come onto a match thread, this one has been superb @sensiblegreeny Good luck with promotion.
Was impressed with Woodburn in the second half when he went more central. He is a nifty little player and his link up play was brilliant. For a kid who is 17 years he puts Emre Can top shame by his awareness and close control. His combination with Wilson on the second half probably reflected the fact that they play together in the U23. All in all we are through and I have to say Plymouth played a good tie.
He missed deliberately to get sold. Btw your lads were great. I hope theres not too many out for you are you had many walking wounded by the end.
