    I dont usually take any notice of mediocre transfer gossip, but this rumour/story still doesn't seem to be going away.

    Their is more talk of Valencia wanting to take our new captain away with the lure of Champions League football.

    I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but where would we be without Coloccini?

    If we lost him for this season, we would look quite f*cked at the back IMO.

    I just hope this is all bollocks and will die a death soon.

    Although we all know under Ashley, every player has his price....

    I'm not having it. He'd cost circa 10m and has massive wages. They still have massive debts supposedly despite the sales of Villa and Silva, and are rumoured to be under pressure to sell Mata. They also have Ricardo Costa and Adil Rami. He's our captain and wants to stay. Of course if the club accept a bid and tell him he's not wanted then he doesn't have much choice but I can't believe Ashley would even think its an option. All round it seems unlikely.

    Why would he want a 3 year deal on 40k when he is sitting on another 2 years here at what.... 75/80k a week. Very lazy journalism

    From the pics Jose used to put on Twitter Colo and his Family seem very settled, he has a couple young kids not sure he would want to uproot them
