Personally I've always understood the boycott of that paper and backed it, but I've always felt it was a bit token tbh, especially as the other Murdoch titles weren't given the same treatment and his Sky empire has never been mentioned. Murdoch did his mates a favour back in '89 and the ire should have always been aimed at both him personally and that maggot Mackenzie

 

Would you care to elucidate, other than they're both by the sea and are ports?

 

I've NEVER touched any Murdoch-related title OR subscribed to Sky

However, I know of a great website, where you can check out the comparative social and economic histories of both cities, then draw your own conclusions

 

It was prompted by a recent kicking that our city received at the hands of the rag (see link below), and which sparked a lot of civic outrage here on social media. The guy who is organising the event has links to Liverpool via his work as a Union official, and has done stuff with J96 and the Total Eclipse... groups before, so when he saw the upcoming fixture, it seemed like a good idea.
