Or he could set up a sportswear company sell off the merchandising so the profits don't go to the club and use the club to give free advertising to his other businesses. Lots of potential all over the place here.

Nissan sponsors the Premier League through Sky mate, so they wouldn't need to sponsor individual clubs. They also sponsor the Champions League, so I doubt you could offer them anything that they don't already have covered.
I always knew the concerts made us no money, I could never understand the logic in it myself. The club will be sold in the summer, its why Short does not want to invest any money now. How he thinks were going to stay up with no investment is beyond me. I fully expect new owners to sell the naming rights to the stadium. A sale and a clearout is what we need. It's possible a deal has been agreed already and the new owners don't mind if we go down because they will have a big clear out of staff.
