I've risen to the bait and had a tenner on Sturridge joining us. 25/1 on skybet and third favourite, favourite being stay at Liverpool 1/12 West Ham at 6/1 then us.

Can't imagine Sturridge coming here. He's out of our league IMO. The guy is class (when not injured).

 

For me, he is not worth what he's paid. He could never motivate himself to play for a club similar to us.
He'll be in the USA in a couple years I expect.

 

Not sure what makes you think he wouldn't be motivated for us. The only time he has played for a "smaller" club was during his time at Bolton when he excelled.

I'd love him to play for saints but it's fairly obvious that it won't happen.

But he's injured a lot, so would fit our profile

I apologise as my response was a little too strong and you are quite correct that I shouldn't have made it personal.

I am quite happy to spar with you on anything if we have a difference of opinion. There may be elements in which we are in total agreement. That is why football is so fascinating to follow as there is a myriad of differences of perspective. I was annoyed last night as I thought I had spelt out my thoughts on the likely re-building of the team with a degree of intelligence and found that you had replied with an emoticon where appeared less than respectful.

However, I did overstep the mark and you are absolutely correct to pull me up on this. I may ramble a bit in my posts but, by and large, I try to be objective and not over critical regarding a football team I care passionately about.

I hope that I am forgiven for my unpleasant rebuke.

 

If sturridge was thinking about joining us, hes probably changed his mind after the northam stand chanted 'Daniel Sturridge what a w8nker' in the EFL cup semi

 

He took it all as light hearted banter, just like his mate Dejan! He came over at the end and asked how we knew he was a w8nker.

 

I may have started that after his dive

 

Liverpool won't be selling Sakho and Sturridge in some kind of package deal worth £20m plus Fonte.

£12m for Bojan is about £9m overpriced.

Just my view.
