We would be stupid not have Delph if we got the chance. Fooking great player and England player, we dont have too many of them do we. Wood hopefully isnt going anywhere unless we have Messi waiting to replace him and as Eire says our season over if he goes. Wonder why these deals are taking so long, as I thought Monk liked to do it early
I think the most likely one is Fletcher on loan from West Ham so waiting for the Scott Hogan deal to go through?
Evening all. From one angle, we don't need any further CM,s attacking or other. From another, he's just the class act we need to help get us into the PL AND ensure we stay there. The only difficulties would be the transfer fee and his wages. If a deal can be done, to quote that bloke on LUTV, GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Norwich City fullback Martin Olsson has penned a two-and-a-half year deal at Swansea, after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee for the Swedish international. Think we dodged a bullet there....
Evening London, would hope we could buy Fletcher, but if he helps us get promoted, don't care too much...
Evening Doc, I personally think it may upset the balance due to the amount of midfielders we have especially at CM. Isd Delph better, oh hell yes. Do the best quality XI normally win? Not always. He's recovering from injury, and Pep will want us to do what is right via Citeh. We need to do right by O'Kane, Bridcutt, Viera and Phillips. I'd get rid of Grimes back to Swansea and I'd release Diag.... Dave...
I for one, will be happy enough if we end the transfer window with our current crop, no additions, no departures. This lot are top of the form table or near enough after the first six games so can't see any reason, barring injuries, they can't see it out
Evening Eire. Problem is, we see all the other teams around us strengthening. I'd like to see another option up front that can score goals. For me, its Fletcher....
I'm more worried Elland about potentially being weaker after the window. This Wood talk has unsettled me a tad.dont like the idea of a new half owner potentially having a cheque for 15m dangled in front of him in his first week at the club
I'm unsettled too. My biggest worry is that Wood goes & we get Fletcher plus £££. The swop might work out, who knows? However, it's a risk that I don't want to take with the season so delicately balanced. I get the feeling that this is the reason the Fletcher deal is being held up, and may never come to pass because of it.
17 goals in the first half of the Championship. I'd be worried if agents / press were not hovering like Vultures. Let them hover.... Are you telling me that the lure of a 3 year contract at 30k a week would turn his head...
If it's double what he's currently on, I'd say so. Would you consider changing jobs if you were doubling your salary?
