You're presuming it was a lie, when, if it was the ManU game, I can understand it being an off-the-cuff questuon. I'm simply letting my logic allow an element of doubt, rrather that letting my admitted bias get in the way.

I really don't think this is the case at all.

I personally would welcome it, whilst also simultaneously spilling my capuccino all over myself in shock, sustaining significant burns, but feeling nothing in the elation. People would love for those things to happen.

But back to reality, the chance of it is frankly non-existent. And that's the problem with raising one's hopes about 'olive branches'. In a way I admire the optimism of those folks, but it's a dead-end route and a waste of breath. I'd be staggered if anyone believing in an 'olive branch' would be granted an audience with the owners, yet if they really believe they could do a lot better than the Trust (as it sounds like they do) then they should go for it and prove all us naysayers wrong.

    Can't see it though.

I'd welcome it too. But as stated in this thread, no one is prepared to forgive and move on. So why would the Allams bother?

You don't have to forgive and move on with anything, you just have to apply some common sense.

The ground is a third empty, it's costing the club money, re-open the West Upper and try and get those fans back and announce you're looking at concessions for next season. There's plenty of easy fixes, all he has to do is meet with the fans, discuss what's upsetting them most and what will make them return, then go some way to addressing it. It's not ****ing rocket science.

But he won't do it, because he's an arrogant jumped up lying little prick.

Sounds like there's a clutch of people on here who see a glimmer of light though, so what's stopping them have a crack where the Trust haven't made headway? I think they have to do something if they really believe it - grab this sudden branch! I can't see it personally but I'd love to be wrong.

And I'd definitely forgive the owners if they did as you posted, and I think 99% of fans would as well, thankful to be able to put all this to bed finally. But do you really think there's a chance of it though? If so, go for it.

Strange how the Chinese wanted us and are now buying another club. Whats Grieve doing now?
Would you engage with the Chair of the Trust if he called your Dad a **** on social media??

Looks like we're in the minority sadly.

    If we even exist.

    Hard to tell.

Anyhoo, I still would like to see the Trust lead this, it's meant to be their raison d'etre, and I have nothing but admiration for Geoff, who is a sensible and likeable soul without the chips on his shoulders that others have.

A conversation requires both parties to listen to each other.
Would EA actually listen? I think he is only programmed to send and not to receive.
I do not think he understands the meaning of compromise.

Considering we've been told quite categorically in this thread that theres no compromise from either side, the only option open is for the Allams to go, regardless of what they do or say, that's a hugely ironic statement and a sad state of affairs.

The chair of the Trust hasn't called him a **** on social media, so it's not relevant.

You know what happened, and he will have been made aware.
The Trust took a long time to rectify that. Too long.

Hmm, this is the difficulty though, I don't think that most of the people who who want to grasp this opportunity do want the Trust to lead. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they seem done with them.

Full disclosure, I'm not a member of Trust. Never joined. I was a member of CTWD and would have been happy to carry that on, but I was less interested in a Trust. In general, I think they aim for the right things.

I do think though, that animosity to the Trust has reached such a degree that it's damaging to them, but apart from strong criticism of them I've seen no solid alternative offered. Like you, I'm sure, I getting pretty tired of all of this, and regime change seemed tantalisingly close at one point, and I really want to start going back every week. If people REALLY believe this is an opportunity, then I'm intrigued. As I said, I am more than a little sceptical of that, but I'd love to be wrong.

Since I never joined the Trust then I don't think I could be conflicted, so if anyone wants to explain where they see the opportunity to me (either on here or on PM) then I'm happy to listen. If I then see it too then count me in, I'd like to help. I have leave left to take at work, I have some money in a savings account, I have a car, I have time to offer to the cause.

I'm fed up of it now so maybe time for me to do my bit, but I need some convincing here. I'm here to help. Talk to me.

If Ehab won't meet anyone who's called him a **** on social media, there's only a handful of people who can attend any meeting. <laugh>

I fear his idea of communication is 'I am in charge, therefore I talk and you listen, I command and you do'

The supporters who gave up their free time to help a multi million pound business that is Hull City listened, debated, offered suggestions and were by and large ignored.
Its going to take something big by the club to rebuild the bridges.

Did the mirrors in the ladies ever get fitted?
