Well, the way Citeh are playing at the moment, there's a distinct possibility that they won't be in a CL place come end of season, so I'd hope he decides he's happy here rather than warming the bench for them after they've bought a few more defenders in the summer.

I noted after the league game that Forster and Sturridge were very matey and spotted it again after the Cup game. Maybe he'd like to come to us and have big Fraser stop nasty people having a go at him. I would happily see Sturridge in a Saints shirt. I know about his injuries and apparently fragile self-esteem, bless him. But the boy can play. I don't know enough about Sakho and my Red friends are equivocal about him, but at £20m the two of them might be worth a punt.

Any lurking Reds fans have a thought.

StB - this thread is titled "Transfer Window Rumour Thread" - so its actually pleasant to have something to speculate about; no matter how tenuous this might be. Lets face it: we have had **** all to debate and we are half way through the transfer window!

 

So what you're saying Saints make contact with his agent,they tell them they want the player,they(agent) passes the information on to the player,the player then says yes or no,and if it's a yes he then proceeds to the club without notifying his present club for talks???

No it's all agents. I have a high profile client who is one of the top city agents so it's not myth, it's very much fact. Southampton will have agents who represent them, Sturridge will obviously have his agent. The parties will talk initially to sound out a move and that's basically when the deal gets done. They understand then if the palyer will agitate for a move, not be interested or may be amenable. That conversation will dictate whether or not Southampton contact Liverpool's agent to discuss potential pricing and availability.
