It means poor fifa.. why are you lot bashing them over nothing? 1. the actual rule “A player who has been called up by his association for one of its representative teams is, unless otherwise agreed by the relevant association, not entitled to play for the club with which he is registered during the period for which he has been released or should have been released pursuant to the provisions of this annexe, plus an additional period of five days.” 2. Was the player called up? Was LFC given, in writing, a formal call up for the player. Was Matip given said call up in writing? 3. Matip has to state in writing to Cameroon he is not available for selection. has any of this occurred? how can fifa know until cameroon complain?
Well, we don't know do we? But some ****er must. Don't copies of these communications have to be lodged with the authorities?
kloppp presser on right now Klopp gives injury updates on Lucas & Clyne JK: Clyne,it's really painful but after a scan it's nothing else (but muscle problem). We give him 2-3 more days. Big chance for Swansea. JK: Lucas knee swollen, but it's only a bruise. We have to wait for swelling to go away. He's positive, maybe he could train today. 'They are allowed to defend' Usually they played different, but to go to the next round for a League Two team they should absolutely concentrate on defence. It makes sense.” JK: They are allowed to defend. We're a Premier League team against a League Two side. But I don't expect them to defend (like at Anfield). Klopp on what Reds must do v Plymouth JK on Plymouth: "Atmosphere will be good and we have to do what we did against Manchester United and cool the atmosphere down" #LFC Klopp on Plymouth tactics “All my respect. It was a really concentrated defensive performance. All the credit to Plymouth. It’s up to us. We cannot wait to try a counter attack, but there are possibilities to speed up the game.” JK: I don't know if Plymouth's plan was to be that deep from the first second but we can't wait for counter-attacks. We have to find way. Klopp doesn't care about Manchester teams.. JK on how many teams can win the title: I don't care. (Do Manchester teams have a chance?) I really don't care about that. Klopp on Man United draw “I thought we really dealt with the situation well. In the end we cannot ignore the power and potential of Man United. When you saw who came on, that’s not too bad? “We needed a bit of luck to win the game, and I would say it would have been deserved. But it’s gone already.” JK: We had our chances to score second v United and could have closed the game earlier. But I haven't thought a lot about it. Klopp on Plymouth line-up Klopp asks to leave the Joel Matip situation to the end. Now he wants to talk football. “The best reason is we want to win the game.”
Klopp on Harry Wilson “We have a few! In a few moments I was impressed. In our situation we had to keep a few players out of the game yesterday. “It didn’t help the game yesterday. Apologies to U23. My fault!” JK on Harry Wilson maybe having a chance v Plymouth: Yes. He is a wonderful young player.
Klopp confirms goalkeeper start Jurgen Klopp confirms Loris Karius will play tomorrow, barring no injuries #LFC Klopp - What I love about football “The best thing of my team is that they are always want to work. They really love football. They want to score goals, they want to win games. “I’m not sure if any of my players have ever played at Plymouth. But one thing I love about football is that you can cause other teams problems, whoever it is.”
this one took time to post so journos must have been listening intently Klopp explains Joel Matip situation “There was not a lot of times in my life that I was in a situation like this. The thing is, I think, actually, that I really have to try, and it’s important, I don’t want to blame anyone, but our supporters deserve to know about the process we are in. “The thing is that in this moment, we are sure we don’t nothing wrong. Joel Matip did nothing wrong. “He did not play for Cameroon since 2015. In this moment he is not in the squad, but we have no 100 percent guarantee that he could play for us. “In the last few days it was getting more and more busy for all departments involved at LFC. The procedure, I’d consider to line- him up tomorrow, but I’m not sure I can. FIFA told us on Friday, this Friday, they will decide if they open a case or not. “I accept rules in life, but I think they are based on human senses. For me it is pretty difficult. “If FIFA opens a case, and I don’t thinlk they will, then it would be between seven and 10 days, in our situation that would have meant United involved, Plymouth involved, Swansea involved. If the result is what we think it would be, and everything is okay, then he didn’t play eight games without doing anything wrong. “As a human being it’s hard for me.”
'We are not the only club' “It’s really difficult to get in contact with the people. We know where we have to go, we can wait, but it’s like with injuries, you have to try everything to be there a day earlier than we all thought was possible. “(We have a) fit player, doing really well in training and didn’t play for Cameroon in 15 months and we can’t use. It’s really difficult.” JK: We aren't only club in this situation. Schalke, West Brom same. Goalkeeper at Ajax too.
Klopp's press conference - the key points That’s it from Jurgen Klopp. He is clearly very miffed about this situation with Joel Matip. We have plenty more to come shortly, but here are the key points from Klopp’s press conference just now: Loris Karius starts in goal for Liverpool tomorrow Nathaniel Clyne improving, needs 2-3 days. Could play v Swansea Lucas knee injury is just a bruise, could train today Wilson set to be involved against Plymouth Klopp explains Matip situation in detail, says player/club have done nothing wrong - FIFA to make a decision on Friday
A Plymouth player, David Robertson, was fined £100k today in a Scottish court for raping a woman, with David Goodwillie also being ordered to pay the same. Scottish prosecutor would not prosecute so the woman took a civil case out against the two footballers.
Fifa have said they won't act unless Cameroon issue a report. Unless we play him, why would they report it? I'd ****ing play him regardless and put a big "**** you Cameroon" flag in the centre circle!
