in some way the rumours we're all true. Those being PVA to Palace, Brady to us from Norwich, Kone to Everton with Jagielka and McCarthy to us and Defoe not for sale. no new injuries, Injured lads back on schedule & ACON over, would you be happy with this line up against Soton? please log in to view this image I think that's half decent myself. Danayer and Papy the worry. But think that team could pick up points. I mean It's unlikely events would run out that way, was just wondering if the wheeling and dealing that's been mooted came through how we could shape up.
I'll be ****ing fuming if we sell PVA, I know many don't rate him, but I think he's absolutely essential to our chances. I'd snap Everton's arm off for Mac & Jag for Kone, who's a ****ing prick and who hasn't dominated this season like last anyway. Brady would be a superb signing, and we should have been trying for him in summer. Jag, Mac & Brady (sounds like a **** cop show) would improve us massively, and with Defoe I actually think those 3 might be enough to squeak us over the line. We must not sell PVA.
I've never even heard of this Liam Brady from Norwich . . . . the name's vaguely familiar, with reference to Arsenal As Bollocks says above, Tony Kone is a little tinker . . . . but he's a lot better than Onions and Granda, and if we get the Jag to replace him I'd like another centre half to partner him I don't consider Woody to be a good defender, but, again as said above, we should keep him 'cos he's definately an asset . . . . he reminds me of Micky Gray, who needed a bit of Magic to partner him on the left side (much like Makin and Summerbee on the right), and together they (both pairings) were fantastic Oh for Reidy's team now As far as the midfield pairing is concerned, I'd much rather have Catts and The Hoff instead of Tights(Denier) and Nobby . . . . might they be available by then (I don't know) ? I'm glad that you didn't include Januselesszai, Bri., and the front four look good to me, Casey Jones is decent, and our best option at right back, and young Jordan (our best passer !) is a 'must' in goal So I wouldn't be very happy with that line-up, but I would be reasonably so because it's better than we've got at the moment (in theory) and we would (probably) 'pick up points' That's a bit 'long winded' but I couldn't get back to sleep, after getting up for a widdle, and I'm sitting here with a latte and I've got now't better to think about
Like your thinking Bri but too many ifs at the moment, do you really think DM could pull this off, IF so he could have a decent team there.
It would be a start certainly. Still think we're missing something more in the middle above N'Dong and Denayer. Would it be enough? Not so sure but it'd definately give us a better chance than what we have currently.
I try and close myself off from all the rumours and speculation, although it is a nigh on impossible task.
The personnel look like they could do well, but the shape looks poor. 4-3-3 with McCarthy deeper would look better, he's never been an AM. McCarthy would add that bite (that Cattermole offers) that you need down that end, and he's not the type to hide from grafting. As soon as you had Cattermole or Kirchhoff back, I'd drop N'Dong, although that's just my view on what I've seen of him, he's not looked good enough. You've seen what Vic can do and what Borini can offer at the business end of the season, so that forward line should be good enough if it can keep fit. Any decent LB would be an improvement defensively on PVA.
We should have strengthened the midfield at the start of the season. Replacing/bringing back M'Vila should have been a priority and even then we still needed more quality in that area. That still hasn't been done. With Kaboul leaving and the erratic form of Djilobodji centre back should also be a priority. I'd rather see those area strengthened before we bring in the likes of Brady. We had wingers but Dave either decided he didn't like them or sent them to Turkey.
pva and Brady down the left would be a great combination both can get up and down aswel as switching positions with each other
Both put dangerous balls in as well Defoe would lap it up. Brady would suit us perfectly IMO then we can send back Januzaj and loan someone who gives a **** maybe.
Brady jags Mccarthy and a cheeky bid for snodgrass would be brilliant it won't happen but let's hope short is thinking stay up sell for more in the summer
Don't know why we'd want Brady. We already have Van Aanholt. We need a target man and an attacking central midfielder.
I'd try that anyway with the players we have and put Manquillo left back. Pva is one of our most effective attacking threats and I'd love to see him play as an out and out winger
