Just like 13/14 at times we do play 3-4-3 but it is the deep lying CM (Gerrard now Hendo) who is the 3rd body in the back 3. Wondered about 3 at the back from the moment we only had Moreno for LB. Milner has covered that problem but if changed to a "formal" 343 it does ease some personnel problems but the gap behind the wing backs would be a serious worry.
yes when we are attacking but that also allows both box to box cms go forward and all..... BUT the other teams are playing two blocking CMS with the back 3 rather than just 3 back and 7 forward like us! The point would be if we are light at CM why not stick another Cb in and push the full backs on.

If you pick him despite the FIFA issue remaining unresolved then it could end up with you being kicked out of the FA cup for fielding an ineligible player. You'd be barking to risk it, therefore this is nothing more than posturing imo.
Can't see it happening. No point risking it in game if it could end up with us being kicked out cup and even worse docked points in league if we play him at weekend or get him an even longer ban.
