The scary thing is, eventually after wasting billions of quid they will have an exciting competitive, top tier league.

Look at Chelsea and City, sure they spent hundreds of millions and got nowhere for a few years, but eventually the money achieved something and allowed them to become established top tier players.

When China clicks they will take eyes off European football and all those Asian fans who watch European football in Korea, Japan, China, etc will be watching Chinese teams.

That's a lot of money that won't be coming to Europe. A lot of teams will have a major cash crash.

 

The reality is they still need to see three things done over there.

1. Facilities developed to be proper world class. I hear the pitches are dire.

2. Coaching developed properly.

3. The follow on is their own players quality is actually a good standard.

The fact is like usa they are offering a max of 5 foreign players per club crazy money and buying some right pigs of players at that thus far.

There is a big difference between the clubs like Chelsea and City spending huge to bring the best players to the premiership and Chinese clubs paying well over the odds to bring some big names. First china has nowhere a big or high profile league as the premiership. The champions of the EPL have got a world wide profile. Chelsea winning the premiership took them into global recognition. Will the Chinese champions be recognised? We don't even know their teams. Only the Chinese people will be interested.
