Agree Nos. If the fee is right I'd sell him too.

The Americans will get their money from somewhere , whether Siggy is sold now or not . 26 million will put a good dent in it . If we get nothing now , and nothing later for Siggy they will get their money elsewhere which will weaken us even more on the drop. In the last 5 seasons we have a net spend in the black and we will be in the red come May .More if we are in the Championship , but still in the red in the Premier . My concern is to field a strong and organized Championship side rather than spend foolishly , and go down entirely in flames ......may be a while before we stop dropping . Build a strong foundation in the Championship again , witthe Americans gone and local ownership again with the trust getting enough new shares to make them always vyable . PS Hang on to Routledge for dear life IMO , 3 million won't help us but he will ... regardless of what division we are in .

Big mistake planning for the Championship right now. We may end up there it's true but our priority has to be to stay up. Lose a player the quality of Siggurdson and we'll have one foot in the Championship the moment he leaves. I know you always seem to put money ahead of everything else when it comes to the Swans but I can't understand your mentality at all. <sorry>

Apparently discussing his future with Everton, as clubs showing interest, unfortunately not us.

Probably using the interest of other clubs to negotiate a better deal at Everton.

I'd be over the moon with Jagielka though.

Been a lot of mistakes over the past years , gambling it all by some clubs in January , and falling right through the Championship into tier 3 . Lets not pretend we are anything than what we are , lucky to be in the Premier for 6 seasons . The old and new owners , mostly in secret , conspired for money and power respectively into the spiral we find ourselves . It will be a miracle if we can pull out of it and I for one would rather be done with the old and new owners if it means starting again in the Championship with all old and new owners gone . As for Siggy , I would not want to take the " Big Money " for him if Fer wasn't ready to take over . Unlike most on here , I see Siggy as not perfect by a long shot and a bit better than Fer as our " AM " .... just my opinion .

Siggy has 5 goals in 1800 minutes ... 3 of them penalties . In 1200 minutes , Fer has 6 goals , none from penalties .
Siggy wins 1 aerial battle on average about every 3 games . Fer wins on average about 3 every game .
    Fer has a 7 % better passing % than Siggy .
Fer cost us 4.5 million , Siggy will bring us in almost 30 million if we sell him in January , maybe nothing in the summer if we drop.
    FACTS ....

You can have all of the stats you want but Gylfi is still on another level or 3 compared to Fer <laugh>

As you point out, Fer cost us £4.5 million whereas Gylfi is worth £25- £30 million to us.

Now go and work it out.

"Lets not pretend we are anything than what we are , lucky to be in the Premier for 6 seasons ."

That's a pathetic statement. We've deserved to be in the Premiership every single season. The table doesn't lie and although we're doing poorly right now we've done remarkably well for a small club year on year, with a fraction of the resources of most clubs. Often written off at the start of every season we've proved those overpaid pundits wrong every time.

I'm astonished at that comment, and I doubt even fans of other Prem clubs would have said that about us - because it's simply not true.

Also, anyone who thinks Fer is a better player than Siggy is talking out of his arse. There. I've said it. :)

If we sold Fer he wouldn't be missed imo. We have a many players equally as good as and as effective as he is now. He did start well but as is his want, has faded as the season progressed.

Siggy has added value because he gives us hope, this value is reflected in his price tag. Fer has value too and his price tag reflects his frustrating, bench warming, could be so much better, qualities.

There is no competition as their price tag suggests Siggy = £25-30m, Fer = £3-5m

Personally I'd rather sell Fer and keep Routledge
