'Liverpool expect to win trophies because they think they're a massive club, despite not winning a league title in centuries'

I agree. Unbelievable arrogance on their part, isn't it?

Mind you, I've been told that they are going to win it - next year I believe it was. <whistle>

The most amusing thing about this particular thread is the 'expert' opinion of Spurs fans and a Liverpool fan on what a downward spiral for EPL title winners constitutes ...

... and that my friends, is that. <rofl>

  7. Ah! Now, we are right back on topic!

I'm sticking with the spiral analogy, albeit that it's been a rapid one. However, I am certainly open to a philosophical debate as to when a rapid spiral becomes a collapse.

Quite an interesting scientific question. Hopefully Fossy can enlighten us.

  11. That is the entire point, though, Bodi. I'm sure that there are proper LCFC fans, out there in the real world, who understand that last season was a freak, and that LCFC would be back to where they belonged, this season, fighting relegation.

The trouble is, that the LCFC fans of this site don't live in the real world, and have chosen to give it large, and act like LCFC is suddenly a billy big bollocks club, ready to contest top 6 every season. They're not, never were, and never will be.

If Bambi had stated openly at the end of last season that he expected LCFC to be fighting a relegation battle this season, I'd have respected him for that, and this thread would probably never have been needed.

Bodi. please don't be lulled into any sense of unfairness for these bastards. They are getting exactly what they deserve. Trust me.

Still bealing about Leicester's title win.

To be fair, they have no idea what it feels like to win the Premier league, so some jealousy is to be expected :)

  14. No, we're not.

We are slapping this forum's rabid foxes back to reality. If Johnny Boy and Bambi were to hold their hands up and say, without any reservation of any kind whatsoever, "Yes, lads, we know that last season was as freaky as hell, and we are now back to exactly where we deserve to be!" I think most of us would accept that and move on.

To be fair, I haven't seen any Leicester fans giving it the big un' and saying that they are going to challenge for the title every season (unlike some Spurs fans). Unless you can point out otherwise ?

They have deservedly revelled in their title win, and acknowledged that it was probably a one off. You can't deny them that surely ?

  17. Oh, they've done a sight lot more than that, Pixie, and you know it!

Do you think, if Spurs were ever to win the title, I'd act like Bambi?

You don't have to answer that one, Pixie. I think we all know the answer.

They've been a lot doing more than saying that they will challenge for the title every season ? Have you got any examples.

If Spurs won the title, you'd be claiming that they would win it for the next 100 years, along with La Liga and the Bundasliga

Sky is still ctying ... I doubt Sky will ever fully get over the fact that a club with a squad that cost less than Liverpool's purchase of Andy Carrol <doh> went on to acheive what Liverpool never have (and possibly never will) .... winning the title in the multi-million pound modern era.of footie.

It is understandable that he has found a home from home with the Spurs lads who, in-turn, watched probably the best ever chance of a Spurs title win spectacularly ripped away from them by a Leicester City team that just refused to let anybody else win it - going on eventually to secure the title by a very comfortable points margin.

Insult was then heaped upon injury when the Spurs implosion was so cataclysmic that it allowed their bitter rivals to sneak past them on the line, simultaneously giving birth to the now legendary oxymoron "third in a two horse race" that has become enshrined in football folklore.
