Two bulls in a field. the young one notices that the farmer has left the gate open to a field full of gorgeous heifers.

"Quick!" says the young one, "let's dash down there and do a couple of them."

"No," says the old one, "Let's stroll down and do the lot".

Just goes to show that while Les might talk a load of old bull, it's not necessarily a bad thing.

I agree, but the moment we do (and we have), you can get your last dollar ready because fans will be moaning about how we paid too much for Tom, Dick and Harry.

The simple fact is that the club have done well with their approach to running the club. It looks a bit sticky right now but it is. It isn't always necessary to change your approach or strategy at the first sign of a problem. Sometimes it is, but it is a choice.

Perhaps they flicked a coin as a wise old wannabe hippy said to me recently)

Our system has worked for quite a while....the question is whether this a blip or a disaster. My guess is a blip. The board see what we need as well as we do...but they have more confidence (and knowledge) in the long term plan than the average fan. Survive this year (which is probable) perhaps with a cup (please, please) and start again with a good preseason. All we can do is support the manager and the team.

That and English clubs are all 10-15% poorer now since last June, and our salary offer to Euro based players has gone down by that much too. There's a big Brexit speech on Tuesday, we'd better get them all in before that. <yikes>

Exactly and until we get to three or four months into next season, we won't know if it is a blip or heading to a disaster.

You mean 3-4 months with new owners.

I have assumed status quo in terms of manager. If newe owners come in and change things in terms of management and strategy, then that's a different thing all together. I'm just looking at now, the first half of this season and when I would start to think that we're not in a blip.

I may, if I get bored at work tomorrow, look up all those summer posts of mine over the last three to four seasons when I said that so many fans would wobble at the first season we don't progress from the previous one. I think way may be there :)

I hate to say this but it is evident that The team don't seem to like the style Puel is insisting on...........I don't think there is too many of us denying that we don't seem to be playing a style we fans like either. We are all trying to give the manager a chance I think but how soon now is it that the fans really turn against him and start calling for his head? I am of course aware that there is a few doing that now.
So my question is I guess, is it just a need for a prolific striker? Or a change of style or both?

By the way, I don't know much about Haller, he sounds ok, but do we really want him long term? I am leaning more and more towards getting Gallagher back.

Let's hope the current blip doesn't turn into a disaster in the NEXT 3-4 months, or the first 3-4 months of next season will be in the Championship?

Why are some people so deluded that it is more than possible for us to get caught up in a relegation fight?

I remember West Ham etc thinking the same several seasons ago. Wake up and smell the coffee.

Last 15 league matches: 15 points and 12 goals scored. That is relegation form in most people's opinion, but not to some on here?

4 losses in a row, 2 goals scored 10 conceded, but hey what is there to worry about? Nothing apparently?

Honestly onionman? I really don't know, but to shrug it off as "no way will that happen"', is a tad arrogant in my opinion.

If we played poorly I would agree, but we will strengthen in Jan and be ok. I don't have coffee in my flat.
