Why does every team try to play into Chelsea's hands by changing their formation? It just makes it easier for them playing against a team who are playing the formation for the first time in the season.

Leicester just confirmed my case. As well as WBA and Swansea. All steamrollered by Chelsea Spurs and Arsenal. Easy wins for all of them. Tomorrow will City do the same? Will Everton be able to break the trend?

Not that its important in this Leicester game but.............both teams used all their subs, therefore at least 3 mins injury time.
Board gets held up, two minutes injury time? WTF?

Chelsea are melting down and in turmoil after being dominated by spurs. Costa wanting to leave has made it #chelseaseasonover

Luckily astro prefers all the other title challengers to win is putting extra pressure.

Lol sorry. On my mobile. I'm trying to copy mitos language.

Astro has this funny strategy that he wants city spurs and arsenal to win so that it puts extra pressure on chelsea rather than having them drop points so that you can be the sole challengers as well as cementing top 4

I'm more defeatist/realist/traitor, depending on your viewpoint. I gave up on the title after the Bournemouth defeat, so I'd therefore like you to beat everyone bar us. And United's opponents for sixth place. :azn:

The top teams are playing like they should. Last year was an anomaly where every top team under performed.

Pep, Klopp, Mourinho, Conte, Poch and Wenger - top class managers who making their mark on the league. If these managers stay in their respective roles for a few years, then I can see English clubs back to competing in the CL.

But can English clubs manage a PL season and title push while going for the CL. The Prem is so hard, alot of the time you don't know what the opposition will be like so you can't rest players with a CL game in mind.
Barca and Real can afford to rest players for some games, while Bayern have their league wrapped up so early the can virtually can sack off the end of their season to concentrate on CL.

The big clubs are in form at the moment as they don't have Europe to distract them and can almost put out the same team every week, and of course Chelsea and ourselves don't have Europe to even think of.
Spurs, Man U, Man City and Arsenal will be back in European games soon, be interesting to see what they prioritise especially if Chelsea continue their march to the title. (Man U or Spurs could easily win the EL)

    Defeatist surely <ok>

Beat United tomorrow and the gap is still 5 points. And they still need to come to Anfield. So the gap could potentially be 2 points. A lot of football to be played so why give up so early?

No one else apart from the top 6 will get 6th <whistle>

Well, Chelsea got beat by Spurs, some thought this would unsettle them.
Diego Costa gets dropped (either for a back injury or arguing with Conte dependant on what you read), season over according to some.
They play their next game and, oh dear, nothing has changed.

I've not given up on us having a damn fine season in the league, but Chelsea are on course to get 90-odd points this season, if they need to. We could get 80, tops, but probably mid seventies. I really am hopeful that when the others take up their Euro commitment again that we'll start picking up points, but that applies to Chelsea too. Disappointed that we might not make the League Cup final now. I really do think we should have made a couple of January signings, but hey ho.
