Hull City head coach Marco Silva: "I’m happy because what I saw was a team with big spirit and big character. That’s important for me. "The team last in the table lose a penalty after three minutes and they showed fantastic spirit [to come back]. "After 10-15 minutes it was difficult, but we started to control the game and put the other team back. The first 25-30 mins of the second half it was all our team. "I start to see [progress]. We have time next week to work more and the players now believe more in our ideas. "I saw my players smile in the dressing room and that’s important for me." On the form of Abel Hernandez: "He’s an important player for us. We’ve played two games at home and he’s scored theee goals. That’s important to us and to him. Abel is an important player for us."
MS is very smart man. Instills confidence in his players and is tactically very clever. He outsmarted EH today a potential coach after Wenger leaves. He will bring the best out of Abel & Mason I was very impressed with Evandro when he came on and Niasse is quick Also the atmosphere today was brilliant we really got behind the team and coach. Today was a must win game with whats coming up before Burnley. COYH
I never mentioned here at all. I've said all over, Marshall shoulda been dropped for Jak. He didn't. It cost us. Thank **** we have a coach who within a week seems to know who is best to play, where, and how. Shame we've already played, and lost, in winnable games but lets just look forwards eh? Few tough games coming up, and the second leg of a League Cup Semi. Futures already looking brighter.
Silva knew the of the first things he had to do was get players, who were poor underneath Phelan, performing.
Silva knew one of the first things he had to do was get players (who performed poorly under Phelan) performing well again. I've got no idea what my first post was supposed to say.
Hell yes! Marshall was a liability - plain and simple. He may come good, it may be a confidence issue? But you simply cannot continue with someone in goal that concedes 3 on average per game. Poor management from Phelan to have persisted with what was obvious to most. You can't defend the indefensible, Marshall simply isn't up to the job of keeping goal for us at present.
I'd disagree. Evandro put in some nice tackles and Niasse made some decent runs with the ball and an intelligent pass for Diomande who had just strayed offside. Encouraging. Some dead heads on the radio praising all the players except Diomande? WTF are these people simple? He was playing as a RWB for most of the game and he was IMHO excellent.
