Good strong line-up, with only three changes (perhaps one enforced). Momentum is what we need.

Glad the back 4 stay the same

My prediction is same as it has been for the past 5-10 games.

We will win IF JWP and Hojbjerg take risks, get forward and join the attack.
We will lose if JWP and Hojbjerg stay safe in the middle and pass it sideways

Only one that was enforced was Davis, so good to see only two real changes. Also great to have the same back five starting again too. Come on!

Changes aren't that important for Saints. As Puel rotates all the time, most of our players will have played sometime in the previous 7-10 days. This is his intention....most players get match time.

Davis isn't fit...Jay and Clasie get rested, but are ready to go on if needed.

We essentially have just two strikers. I feel long running in behind will be key today.

Maybe he's not rotating as much because our fixtures aren't quite as piled up as they were. Who'd have thought...

If we're being honest, with no Fonte, Boufal or Austin (plus Martina somehow getting worse each game, and Gardos seemingly still some way away), then there wasn't much rotating Claude could do without giving the XI a very youthful look. But hey, I'm happy, it's nice to see that continuity. Thank you Claude.

Big game for Long, especially after getting off the mark for the season recently. If we do sign a striker this month, then once Austin is back Long could find himself getting very little football for the remainder of the season if he doesn't lay a marker whilst he has the opportunity to now.

Exactly. Davis is injured, or at least injured enough to have a weekend off, and Clasie had a knock as well, so those 2 were pretty much expected. Long for Rodriguez the only real roll of the dice.

We have mid-week games for the next couple of weeks. Our fixtures are as crowded as before.

It's crazy isn't it! I dont think anyone saw this coming!

Perhaps when we have no midweek fixtures due to cups at all he might rotate even less!

What a time to be alive.
