Don't think he went for money at all. Being at a club like United generally earns you more than just a contract anyway but Morgan clearly left because he wanted to play regular football again. Fair play to him for not wanting to be a bench warmer like so many others.

 

Certainly don't want Morgan to waste his footballing career at United. I want him to be Everton's best player as long as they still lose.

 

So Costa could be off to China for 30M a year. It's getting silly now. China has no grass roots up policy for football, they're just going to buy all the best players (and some that aren't actually that good). Not sure how that will make them a major footballing nation? just a scint footballing nation with no local players (bit like England). Do they think the rest of the world will start watching Chinese games? can't see it.

Gaston to Leicester? Would be a slightly different route to CL football with a fellow PL club than many of our former players have taken.

 

Might be a good fit if Leicester can get back to the frenetic style of a year ago. Gaston loves nothing more than open grass and unnecessary cards (his rate of one yellow for every 171 minutes played vastly outpaces the likes of Wanyama), so he'll have a kindred spirit in Vardy.

Well, with all their money and the likelihood of a title, it's happening to Chelsea. Nobody is immune really.

 

Nice that it isn't just us, but at least players who leave us can cite a football reason....this is purely money. Now you and I could be excused for taking the silver, but a player like Costa is already rich. No excuse for throwing away a few years from a short career. Shameful.

 

Love the media storm when players from the Big Boys and journalist favourites (Wet Spam) kick off to agitate for a move but when it happens to plucky little Saints they simply criticise us for selling all our best players.......hypocritical b**tards!

Oh but I think Costa is thinking of sending 90% of his money back to Brazil to protect the rain forests.

 

Bayern confirm they are signing Sule and Rudy in the summer. Sule is immense, and €25m is a bargain for him.

 

Don't think Costa will go, will probably get a new contract with a payrise
